Rallyesprint came to an end today, and DRS championship ended too. At Rallyesprint great surprise: Felix Herbold won at his first time with Ford Fiesta S2000 in front of two Fabias S2000 of MWallenwein and Kahle! Promising battle for next season!. At DRS Dobberkau finished 6.9 sec ahead Werner (problems for Dobberkau with an accident on last leg, that almost gave title to Werner), and Muschiol third.

I hope that Felix will go abroad. German championship isnt enough for him...

With german saison just finished, itīs time to think a while about whatīs over and to come. German DRM needs more rallyes in calendar. Five is not enough, and a gravel one as Lausitz would be ok, although championship would become maybe quite a little far expensive for teams.
There are some good drivers although rather aged to make international career: Kahle, Gassner sr, Dobberkau, Werner, Muschiol, Mysliwietz, etc. Better young ones are probably Mark Wallenwein (23 y.o.), Felix Herbold (25 and very impressive weith Fiesta s2000 at rallyesprint this weekend) and maybe C.Riedemann (23). Gassner (21) is fast and young but I would see him jumping to a new 1.6 T to face his real pace. WRC results arent too much convincing. I find Burkart (28) as a perfect driver for championships like ERC or regional cups. Heīs got JWRC title at last, but I think this will be his highest success in WRC, although I wish I was wrong. I would like to see him at the wheel of a more powerful car too :)

To complete last post I must say that other two things else are probably very necessary. On one hand a new point system at DRM with more points to rally final scratch and less to class results, and perhaps leg points aside. On the other one, more german teams should race outside Germany and not only at cups as Mitropa or Lausitz, but ERC and IRC. Well, itīs just only a money matter now... :D

Thanks for a great video once more. I have been following this thread so many times already but just havenīt given a go to write anything yet.
Anyway canīt wait to spectate some events in Germany at the future as I will be moving from Finland to Mülheim an der Ruhr to live with my girlfriend when the paper war is done. In the end my first ever national experience to German ralllying at national level was at last year in some event at Hildesheim when my girlfriend was still living in there.
Hopefully the next season will be good and the regulars and maybe even a few more drivers to top classes could sign in. As has been said I also think that the championship needs some changes for the system and maybe an event or a few more. What comes to cars,an increasing numbers of S2000īs worldwide still looks promising.
Will surely keep checking this thread for updates and rallyes.

Youīre welcome Mixa ;)

Next season DRM will begin with Wikinger rally on 24-26 March. Eifel is out and two more rallyes probably in, so a season with six scoring rounds

Germany gravel cup came to an end last weekend with High Forest Rallyefestival. The round was won by Wilfried Brunken (Evo 6), and second place for Jaakko Keskinen, finn, with Evo 10. Keskinen is now gravel champion here in Germany. Is he a well-known driver in Finland? Anyway, congratulations to him :)
