I don't understand what's the problem some here have with the rally being in Sardinia.
Would it still be possible to have a WRC gravel rally in Tuscany/ Italy in late September/ early October?

From pure interest in rallying, Tuscany makes the most amount of sense to me.
From a heritage standpoint San Remo makes the most amount of sense...
Neither of them are probably feasible since italy is forever drowned in the shit Marsh that is F1 (if we ignore even more shitty league football for a second).

I think replacing Italy would be good for the sport. Right now there are Monte, Portugal, Sardinia, Corsica and Catalunya around the Mediterranean, and this is a world championship series. Five events out of ten European rounds around that sea would be too much for even European championship.
