Mads is close to 14 years younger than Petter...While Petter has maybe 2-3 good years left in him, Mads has just started his career at the top level - and actually has a promising future. I also think you are totally wrong in valuating the speed potential of Mads. Give him a couple of more years (he will still only be 26 years...) and he will be exactly where he needs to be. When it comes to mental capacity Mads is in his own class in the WRC. A bit like the Jackie Stewart of rallying. But Mads is much funnier, and a thoroughly good bloke as well!

Do you think he will improve enough though? As a Norwegian I trust your opinion, however I simply don't see a spark in him. Unlike JML, Petter and Mikko before him, while they all started relatively slowly, they at least showed flashes of incredible pace. However Ostberg hasn't once won a stage on pace alone (not on snow) as far as I know. By the end of this season I'd expect at least one day of a rally where he shows top class pace otherwise he's taking too long to develop and may just become another nearly guy like Henning or Stohl.
