Lets hope he gets rid of whoever forgot to do the wheels up last year....
May have been covered - for sale by Jason Hughes...
http://www.motorsportads.co.uk/race-...cars/7819.html
Is this the S2000 car that several people have said that Jason has? I wonder if he bought it and has now decided to sell it on, deciding to continue with the BTC spec MG instead?
This is just speculation BTW! so if anyone knows the answer.....
Why does Jason Hughes own that Honda? It was awfully slow in 2004. Was he just using it as a test or even spare car?
i can't believe he was seriously considering it as an alternative to the MG's, even weight handicapped and ineligible for Championship points the MG's would spank the Civic all over the park.
odd thats its been decked out in his livery tho, seems to indicate there was a thought of running it, maybe its been seriously updated, i hope he has something better up his sleeve
Wasn't just a show car at his karting place was it? And hes selling it to raise funds to buy his new S2000 cars?
What's Alan Morrison up to these days? Would be good to see him back in the BTCC.
Jason has sold several of the cars he owns in recent months,He is fortunate enough to have the money to own more than one race car, the civic is just one of many.
He has/had at least two possibly three MGs didn't he - the white one and the ex maurer one(s) depending if one went to wsr. If I've got it wrong it's only from memory with the white ZS and him buying the ex Maurer ones.
He's only had one MG as far as I know. The Maurer cars went back to WSR.
Then he would have had to upgrade the old one. I'd always thought that wsr had one old display model (possibly ex Hughes) and three later ones (one being a Maurer one) while Hughes had a Maurer one. Maybe I'm wrong.
Just done some totting up on S2000 BTCC cars
2007 BTCC 10 S2000 confirmed so far
2006 BTCC 11 S2000
2005 BTCC 5 S2000 raced 7 entered
2004 BTCC 7 S2000, some only selected races, Alfa Romeo shared between Carl Breeze and Stefan Hodgets
WSR's car is well nice.
Team Dynamics are building two new Civics for this year.
But they may not run them.Quote:

Of all those, only Chevy/Daewoo have an existing S2000 car, but recently the auto press have talked about a Kia Cee'd S2000 car (or S2000D...)
None of the rest have anything useable really
I assume the rumored Korean automaker deal is for '08 cause it's obviously too late to design/build/race a car now?Quote:

How can they be ready for the first race? Either they plan to race later in the season or the cars are already under partial construction?Quote:

That's the point, they can't - that's why they were/are building Civics as a back-up plan, which now appears to be the car they will actually be using.Quote:

It has been mentioned before, but nothing more than thatQuote:

Just read in Autosport about a S2000 Dacia Logan rally car that didnt compete in the end. Could this be converted to a touring car? Would be a good way of getting Dacia known in the UK?
I'm just interested to know if there has been any pics of the car that may run for team dynamics this year, if so, can i have the link please?
Nick Leason has been mentioned he could be joining GR Asia with Adam Jones, he was also seen talking to Paul Ridgeway at the Autosport show and knows him well as he tested for him when he ran the Focus in the BTCC. Nick has apparently got 2 new sponsors so could be getting some serious money in. Good luck to him as he is a really down to earth and genuine guy and probably the poorest man on the BTCC grid....A real underdog in my books.Quote:

I will be backing him 110% this year as he is a genuinely top bloke and he has a proven car which will hopefully spring a few surprises.
Nick will be out again in the Daniels Astra I think.
