Solberg fastest Hyundai!
Yes Gus - THE FASTEST TIME !!!!
Well done from all M-Sporters.:)
So, Greensmith will have it. Really deserved one - everyone without problems (well, Loeb and Neuville (?) without EV) and went through the stage. Well done!
Really happy for GG.
The Ford is miles ahead of everybody else
I think M-Sport is in a similar situation to 2017 - a really competitive car - but this time they won't always have an "A-lister" like Ogier or Loeb to extract the maximum potential.
GG is flying. Very good. it finally happened
Good guy Gus!
Pure emotions ;)
Not bad for first stage win - beating all last 18 year World Champions ;)
On Estonian tv they have calculated that you loose approximately 0.5sec/km if you don’t have hybrid. Based on the cases so far but of course it depends but it’s something like that
SS7: Loeb
Greensmith gets his first WRC stage win, but the flying Frenchman holds onto his rally lead despite hybrid issues.
"My run was really good, but I had no hybrid. For sure we lost a lot of time, but we are pushing as hard as possible.
Out of the eleven crews, who has not had a hybrid boost failure in a stage, so far? Fourmaux?
I've been critical of Gus for a while, and Msport for sticking with him as a factory driver (even though he pays), but I'm delighted to see him proving me and many others wrong. I did not see this step up in speed coming.
That extra motivation of knowing you have a competive car/proper testing has worked wonders. He seemed so deflated over the last season or two.
He also seems like a genuinely good bloke. Now he just has to continue consistently setting stage times in and around the top 5/6, and stop having stages where he loses 30s randomly.
That was great to see, really pleased for the lad. He has and does take a pasting on here, and I for one am happy to see him do well.
Greensmith the first non-French stage winner of 2022...
Good run from the maestro without Hybrid - this stage you'd maybe miss it most?
I haven't really followed how the hybrid boost works, but if it is not working on a stage, is it broken or likely to work again on the next? Or is it more complex than that?
So far seems to be kind of an on/off issue
So for the final stage we have some fights
Gus is just 0.7 from Tänak, Tänak is 3.6 from Breen and Breen is 3.4 from Neuville
Evans is 0.8 from Ogier
Why are they now calling them 'route-note crews' ?
I'm not sure for whom I should feel happier: Seb or Malcolm. I wasn't such a fan in 2006 when it dawned on me there wasn't going to be much of a championship battle for the foreseeable future but these days I can take solace that Loeb is about five months older than I am. Wilson's definitely turned M Sport into a real powerhouse, which was nice after seeing how my former favorite Prodrive has evolved.
Gus has won more stages this year than all Hyundai drivers together :D
Adrien FOURMAUX @AdrienFourmaux
Message to tell you that me and Alexandre, are ok.
This is a huge disappointment for me. A year of shaping a Puma Hybrid Rally1 alongside M-Sport Ford, huge expectations for this rally and my first full season. :(
I am thinking of the entire team who worked relentlessly, day and night, to allow us to evolve in the best possible car. To the team, I am sorry for this mistake.
We will not leave tomorrow, we will work even harder to come back strong to Sweden.
Ogier more than 25 sec faster from morning pass
Think Ogier knows it is his best opportunity to get closer from Loeb with Ford’s hybrid issue (+ too careful this morning)
Poor time to finish the day by Elfyn has taken some pressure off Ogier.
Do we have any info if Loeb still have hybrid problem?
Rovanpera on the same pace as Monza?
Slightly disappointing for Breen. He has had so much testing time in the new Puma (even while others were still finishing WRC 2021) but is not as confident as some others here.
Maybe that test crash has affected him more than he admits...
Ott takes Breen with stage. Gus also slow
Quite a good day for Hyundai today.
Superb day for Greensmith despite that last stage. Brilliant to see him win a stage at last - great achievement.
Loeb slowed a bit by a more frosty road. Shame after his amazing speed today. He still leads. :)
