I find it hard to believe that the mayor of some two-horse, hick town in Belgium knows what's going on more than people actually involved in the WRC.
Didn't Ypres only just announce their date a week or so ago? Wouldn't they have just waited if they thought it was so certain to change?
Purely as an info: In Greece there is a very strange situation. Several officials of the local authorities and some journalists talk as if it is certain that Acropolis will take place. I don't know how they got this certainty and I doubt that they have found the money or that they will be able to find it, because the state deficit has reached astronomical levels. I just report it, with many reservations.

I would rather a tarmac Scottish rally (or a tarmac round in any part of the uk) instead of no rally GB at all. But it would be a bit of a shame to have a rally in scotland, and avoid all the amazing forest roads.

One year (I can't remember which one) when the Manx International was a coefficient 20 ERC round I remember the FIA Observer telling us (unofficially) that he thought the event was better than the RAC and quite a few other WRC events. We went home quite pleased after that!Quote:
