Pure disaster of a rally for Neuville.

"A good weekend. We've been where we want to be. We have to remember that we've been first R5 all weekend, so we've set some good pace. Thanks to @CitroenRacing
for their continuous development. We have some new bits to come that will make us even faster"
Rovanperä flying
Breen and ogier down on Kalle on splits. He was not joking about saving for the power stage...lol

Slow corners are really rutted up now - Ogier quite slow.
Brilliant rally by Breen. Fully justified his drive in the i20 WRC.
Breen just 4,7 sec from Ogier at finish.
Congrats OTT!!
Get in my mannn!!!!!
Won on 4th rally with Toyota and now also on 4th with Hyundai on a fast rally!!!!
Breen also superb.
Adamo is definitely smiling.
Estonia outtakes:
The good:
- Nice stages (looked nicer than on the event here last year), specially the variation both between stages and within them was nice
- Breen finally with good speed and result for Hyundai
- Both championships open, on paper Hyundai even seem to have an advantage. But still Toyota and Ogier/Evans have the points in the box now.
The bad:
- Sprint format, especially on a fast rally like this any position changes were essentially over mid way trough first day. A small isue (like a tire for Rovanpera) and it was over. While I am not a fan of very long rallies, below 300 km is clearly too little.
The ugly:
- Competition is down to two teams. Sure on gravel with lots of cleaning MSport might do some better results but I just cant see how they magically catch up with development. Off course its not their fault in the first place, but this is just how it is. In 1,5 years we went from 4 cars that could win a rally to 2, and next year is not looking any better.
Awesome must-win performance by Tanak and PS pts off Ogier. Perfect.
Evans and Katsuta crashes weren't total write-offs. You can salvage many parts from the car and just put in a new bodyshell. Fire is always the worst because it destroys everything.
Someone on this forum asked Rich Millener about Paddon's Finland 2019 test crash and he said most of the parts were reusable.
Kajto stop?
They were really troubled just losing Lappi's car in Mexico. Then the lockdown - no rallies, no car sales, no parts sales, people made redundant.
If they were to lose or very badly damage two more cars on top of that it would be super-tough for them to continue and justify it, unless Ford put some money in.
Millener after Mexico said. “Losing a car is never nice to see for any team but that’s going to ask some serious questions of us for the remainder of the year.”
The cost of new hybrid WRC cars threatens to price young drivers out of the top of the sport, Malcolm Wilson has warned.
As it stands, each of the new generation of cars will cost around €1m (£850,000); five times that of a feeder series WRC2 car, according to the M-Sport boss.
A Fiesta WRC cost of £675,000 was confirmed by M-Sport 2 years ago (€750,000).

UPDATE @thierryneuville
After experiencing some electronic glitches in the Power Stage which didn't allow the engine to run properly the team decided to retire #Neuville's car in the road section to avoid any damage to the engine. #HMSGOfficial #RallyEstonia
