Not much of a fan of that either, things like this happen all the time, specially to drivers further down the field. Don't remember many people getting time compensation for so small time losses. But yes those 15s he got are "fair" if you look at spilts vs Ogier and Sordo before and after.
Four stages seen today (both runs in Viana & Caminha). Really fast zones away from spectator zones.
In Viana, where we were a guy had a gun radar, which showed that the cars reached a speed of 167 km/h. We were after the fastest zone (which we also could see) where the cars reached even more speed in a narrow downhill.
Some photos taken at the slowest places:

Tomorrow, both runs in Vieira do Minho.
Rightful decision by the stewards.
Didn't the same happen when Novikov drove with his bonnet open in Finland some years back and Meeke had to slow down behind, and got some seconds cut off?
As far as I remember people would typically get compensated if they lost a minute or thereabouts. Compensating 15s is something new, question is where you draw the line. 2-5s incidents happen like every second stage.
Why is everyone suddenly upset that Neuville got time back. He was clearly held up by Latvala given the splits. Had he started one position behind he would not have lost time.
The stewards corrected this and now we are upset? Really?
This has happened before on a number of rallies.
Meekes SS7 onboard seems like a normal crash. Lost it a bit under braking on tarmac and hit a concrete block on the side. Time in 8:00.
Doesn't suit me as an M-Sport supporter but I agree with Neuville's time correction. It may not be a consistent decision but it was a fair one as he lost a lot of time through no fault of his own.
His mechanics "forgot" to install his mirrors after a service. If you have the capability of critical thinking you know that they just left them off to gain time for repairs (since missing to put mirros on the car for them is like you forgetting to put pants on in the morning). He just got a fine, other people get disqualified for far smaller infringements. And now he goes crying about getting stuck in someone else's dust. Hell that happens almost every rally and they just live with it. They're playing shady games and we are not entitled to find it disgraceful?
It's not very sportsman-like, is it now?
Latvala asked the team to tell him when Neuville was close but never heard anything.
Neuville passed him after the 1st split. Split 2 and 3 you mean i guess? Could be stress maybe, damage to the car after nearly going off 3 times...?
The corrected time was ok since he was 2 up on Ogier, lost 5 and got a time 5 behind. Should have been 2 sec better really.
Remember Ogier got some time back in GB a few years ago for same reason. What will be tommorows startlist ?
That's just a ridiculous conspiracy theory that doesn't even make sense if you lack it.
Putting on a mirror takes about as much time as putting your pants on in the morning.
...So no, I do believe they did forget it.
And he was more than stuck in his dust. He was slowed down and had to pass him.
Yes, splits 2&3, my bad. In the highlights though have sad Neuville lost ONLY 7 seconds being after Latvala. What is Latvala's fault if Neuville get stressed/had some car damage? How come Tanak didn't had them? If Neuville is compensated, so should be Tanak, simple as that.
Yes he lost 7 sec to Sordo with the corrected time. Haven't seen it yet but maybe it has something to do with the Toyota team not making a mistake and got Latvala stopped so Tanak could pass and not sit right behind for 5km like Neuville did? Tanak didn't loose any time to speak of anyway.
Dunno why everyone is moaning about Neuville rightfully getting some time back. Think a lot of you guys are worrying about Neuville smashing it tomorrow now he's in a position to hunt down the win ;)
