I think lot of crews which were planning to start on Azores will do this rally instead...
Suprised by Linnamäe time.
Ingram 2nd fastest on SS2, 3.6s off Veiby.
Really nice start of race from Miguel Campos who is 3rd overall in the 208 Cup Iberica after SS2(first leg) :D
Alejandro Cachon is really strong and fast, often among the best of the cup(even in 2020, despite being unlucky in results)... :)
Dry or wet today?
seems like the french rubber is better than the italian.

Accident of Liinamäe on SS4...stage cancelled!
I hope nothing serious to driver and codriver
Car blocked the road on SS4.
Ingram fastest on SS5 and up to 3rd o/a.
Nothing serious for Linnamäe, unfortunetaly hit a stone = broken suspension parts/steering rack.
Podium for Ingram/Whittock on their gravel rally comeback (and beating all the locals & with no PET).

Looks like Pedro Antunes is back in the Copa Peugeot Iberica this season, according to the entrylist of Rali Serras de Fafe

New Peugeot/Opel cup in the 2023 Madeira championship
Craig Breen new driver at Hyundaï Portugal for the full championship ???
Previously linked to a 2 car programme in the Canary Islands alongside Yeray Lemes for 2023. Maybe something to do with Sports and You?
In the same article(Autosport Portugal)I've read Citroën Portugal will do a two-car effort this season championship(Jose Pedro Fontes + Bernardo Sousa)
SAD! Bruno Magalhaes announced his retirement from the season, he couldn't find the budget to run a third Hyundaï... :(
And now the portuguese motorsport federation(FPAK)creates a new cup(for Peugeot and Opel cars again)for young drivers(in order to find the future talents)

Today(22th march)organizers of Rali do Açores(gravel event held next week)should publish the entrylist, that should be a very interesting and international one
Craig Breen crashed in the Algarve Rally...

.
Hey!!!! Max McRae on entrylist of next week Rali Terras de Aboboreira(next round of portuguese championship)
He will drive there a 208 Rally4(but it's the same car as the Corsa he will drive in ERC Junior in Poland) ;)
Many interesting names on the entry list of Rali Terras d'Aboboreira 2023, the third round of Portuguese championship, some from WRC:
https://www.ewrc-results.com/entries...oboreira-2023/
Great to see Kris honouring CB with a victory.
Kris Meeke easily wins the 5th round of Portuguese rally championship:

https://www.ewrc-results.com/entries...-madeira-2023/
Good entry for Madeira this weekend and a new co-driver for Kris Meeke.
Meeke's ambitions in WRC were great, but he can't even win Portuguese championship - another crash from the Brit:
https://www.rallytime.eu/2023/08/04/...2qtERToMH8qtYs
From hero to zero in 2 rounds. Very much his style sadly!
Anyone knows the current standings of the Portuguese championship? Does Meeke still have a chance to win it?
https://www.ewrc-results.com/season/2023/?nat=18
These stats showing Kris as being in 5th place before Madeira and 36 points off the lead.
https://www.ewrc-results.com/final/8...es-verin-2023/
A 1.8 second margin for Meeke over Araujo on Rali da Agua still leaves him in 5th in the championship. Those 2 retirements really have seen a potential title disappear.
