Killeri SSS live stream?
Two Fords in top 4 and Hänninen being the best Finn - interesting... :)
Does anyone know if the super special being shown live?
Doubt it as MTV3 has only the power stage live.Quote:

We started our day nearly at the top of the Himos stage, a very challenging downhill crest-left. Hänninen almost ruined his rally there, lost it after the crest and the car was 80% in the inside ditch at the corner. 50cm more inside and he would have clipped a rockface with open wheel. Lukyanuk totally crazy in the place, attack 110% and all over the place, but very very great to watch! Very rough road, some 2WD cars were struggling.
We continued to Torittu, but two parkings were full beyond understanding, total chaos, atleast on the other place marshalls didn't know anything, so we had to take an emergency route plan to the finish corners.
Newsflash with Latvala on the rocks:

May I correct you and say thay Fiesta R5 could sound better. 208 was quite good sounding machine.Quote:

These cars have a lot of potential when fully developed, could they replace WRCars?
Can't see any particular reason to think that. Latvala has been slower than Ogier all year and was slower on SS1 too.Quote:

Hanninen impressive,but he is local
Neuville if he stay inside the road at this pace very impressive.
Ostberg not so good, waiting more speed.Seems that he has stucked to do the ''last step''
Ogier waiting to be faster.Lets wait to see day2.
Hirvonen not bad, depents from which point of view you see his pace. From his previous rallies is much better, but if you compare him with Neuville,or Meeke not impressive at all.
Sordo,no comment, wish Meeke take his seat.Seems that he is not up for a works seat.
Latvala at first rallies he was searching his speed, when he found the speed he is back on his usual business with rocks inside the road.
Novikov not bad,at least inside the road.
Nikara good with a car that for sure his evolution must have stopped months ago.Want to see him at tomorow ''proper ''stages
wrc2
Kubica impressive without other words.Cant remember somebody with this pace at first visit at Finland.
Paddon very good considering his competition kms this year.
Lappi not impressive till now.Lets wait tomorrow for a better view.
Kruuda last rallies give me the impression that he evolves. At this rally i am sure.
Evans very impressive.
Ketomaa at his phisical position.Maybe his best rally if will finish like this.
Lukyanuk this guy deserves a r5 or a s2000 car.On par with Salo inside Finland is not easy.Specially at your first attempt.Except that his difference on some stages with wrc2 is very small for a N4 car at this rally(jumps)
lol look Neuvilles face
Neste Oil Rally Finland
Thoughts on day 1
Great to have a Ford leading a WRC event again and Neuville is a real suprise package out performing his team-mates.
Also great to have a close battle for the lead with Ogier not running away with it (yet).
Looks like Novikov is determined to finish, so taking it steady... understandable, but a bit of a shame as he is fast.
As for JML and Hirvo... same old, same old...
Meeke and Evans both doing a good job representing the Brits back in Finland at last.
I think Ogier took it little easy today after what happened to Latvala. Waiting for tomorrow when the "real" Rally begins
First day coverage will be on Portugal's Sport TV 3 00:05 CET
Ready to fall asleep, but few thoughts on Himos 2 first. 20 years it was the same square kilometer where the first run pairs on super specials. Now it was 30 second intervals, 2 loops and heats. As a concept it was nice, but shame that the downhill part was as in bad condition as it went. During the top 40 it rained a lot which made the road very slippery. We saw the braking to the tunnel and many drivers had difficulties there on first loop especially, sliding a little wide. Kubica approached less on brakes than others, slid wide and stalled. Brynildsen's car stopped there for a half a minute, he had it back going, but it stopped again a little later for another half a minute. One other car retired right after the tunnel, also two of the very last cars retired one after another after the first loop. Saw one tire change, front left. Also two other front left punctures at least (Riedemann, Consani) and one damaged front left suspension (Burger).
The rain that ruined Hirvonen's evening came hard from Jyväskylä, but it stopped about 1 km after Himos area. No rain in Jämsä center for example.
And in reference to my previous post, we were not in Latvala's place on SS2.
Night night, then Jukojärvi.
Moreover when Lukyanuk drives N4 while Salo drives R4 car. N4 Evo X is very heavy car compared to R4, not speaking about shorter suspension travel which must make a lot in Finland.Quote:

I was also there in Killeri and watched all the cars. Yeah, Hirvonen drove pretty great but maybe the most surprising thing to me there was Matias Kauppinen's pace. When I looked at his stage time, he was one of the thirty fastest drivers, if my memory serves me right. Anyone knowing why did Yazeed slow down at the end?
Made me a good laugh when Campedelli drove with his trunk open :D
Meeke's performance is impressive to jump into the car and be in the pace right away. Sordo has been really disappointing in this rally and the whole season, probably it is time to put pressure on him to try and improve a bit, as they did in 2010 when he was replaced by Ogier in couple of rallies. Meeke showed he deserves his seat

Neuville did a good job today, hopefully it will stay all weekend.
sordo as expected, he is a tarmac guy.
østberg and mikko did a quite good job, up there, but had small episodes today, they'll be back tomorrow.
good to see ogier is human, exiting to see his pace tomorrow.
latvala, aiaiai.
proper day tomorrow, then the race really begin!
Lukyanuk (in Russia we call him Lukas) have a puncture at SS1. He had only one spare wheel and after changing wheels he tried to slow his pace - he did not want new punctures. Also at "Himos 2" he has some technical issues (rocks broke exhaust pipe and some other parts of the car).
The only Finns that can stop Ogier from winning everything:

Made me stop last year too ;)
PG's first split very slow again.. Hopefully not a repeat of drama's from the first day..
EDIT: Looks like it..
only front wheel drive for P-G
