What are the times you setting? Just how fast is Fiesta R5 to compere with S2000 cars?
- I would be leading rally now more than minute in front of others.
It is unclear when that question was asked though. If it was after day one it was very impressive, if it was half way through day two when Freddy had slowed down then less so...Quote:

After SS5 Loix had no opponent and was only cruising according to splits and trying not to pick a puncture. It was clearly visible on his driving in fast places and also Fred Miclotte confirmed that to me. In first stages the difference was very small between them. On a distance I measured (cca 1 km long section close to the end of stage 1) Loix was faster than Neuville by 1,1 seconds and slower than Meeke by 0,2 seconds. I measured same way also sections in SS6 and 19 but there Loix was not pushing. For the R5 in both these cases Neuville was faster than Meeke. Loix was in both cases on par with Meeke in those particular sections.Quote:

If true than it's interesting that on second Vleteren - Krombeke stage on my spot not far from start Loix reached rpm limiter in almost same place as Neuville and Meeke. Loix had top speed 182 km/h.Quote:

Mirek, why do you say they can't? New Fabia will be launched in March 2014...
I don't think so. I'll send You PM.
The previous link doesn't work because M-Sport delete its post (:confused :) . Nothing special was written on it, but for those who are intered in reading it, this web was quick to "steal" the information: M-Sport first Ford Fiestas R5 cars leave for competition
PX13 AUF is Jan Sykora's car.

I expect this is VAG politics. They don't want Skoda to have too much of a head start with the MQB platform for their supermini.
Don't search for too much conspiracy theories. I think that they are simply late.

any news about DS3 R5 or Opel R5?
DS3 R5 will come after 208 R5. In my opinion it will be technically same just placed in different bodyshell (at least it would be logical). I don't know anything about Opel, sorry.
I think Opel is quite successful with their Adam Cups etc. Everything is going well so I see it as logical step to continue that way. I think Opel is waiting for new Corsa, then they will do Corsa R3 or R3T first of all and most probably after that they will start with Corsa R5. It means middle of year 2015 or later. But it is very far and everything can change many times until then.
In the next 2 years (?):
Fiesta R5
208 R5
DS3 R5
Fabia R5
Clio R5
Corsa R5
Would be good. Very good if it all came true. Maybe even Toyota etc.
Another nice comparison video

I'm reading on the Dutch forum that Hans Weijs will test the DS3 R5 tomorrow and Saturday. Does somebody know more about this?
Can't edit my previous post anymore, so sorry for he double post, but co-driver Davy Thierie posted it on Facebook, so now we can assume it's a fact. Good news! :)
208 T16 will be homologated on January 1st 2014.
On Autosport.pt
Sýkora's car already suffered a broken gearbox in test before first event.
No problem, Malcolm guaranteed 2000km's on every part ;)Quote:

:)
All M-Sport cars in recent years have used very soft suspension.
Try to break you gearbox and tell me if you got a new one please. :pQuote:

On a serious note. I was told there is a shortage of gearboxes for R5 in M-Sport. Very very few available.
but it looks he is still testing the car.So is problém with gearbox happened after testing,or he can continue in testing/racing?And does it mean that start on Rally Bohemia is in trouble?
I know nothing about the testing.
