In my opinion it's also up to gearing which doesn't suit such stage character. But Monte is completely different event and it's stages are much more suibtable for Abarth (if not on snow).Quote:

I'd say that almost any of those top 19 seeds could win - it would be hard for Bruno, Wallenwein or Maurin to win, and also the Protons unless they have a large performance boost since last year, however its refreshing to have no idea who out of over 10 drivers will win the event.
That's a very good entry!! And I agree, who will win, that is what we want from a Rally.
Can't wait, I've a feeling it's going to be fantastic, and live on TV!!!
i saw a support truck from Enjorlas in video. Will he support him in Monte?Quote:

Here is another brand new DS3 R3T with which our Greek friend Dimitris Amaxopoulos togther with Italian co driver Giacomo Ciucci will participate with number 83 into this year's event. The car was built (apart from Citroen Sport of course) by the Italian BP Racing team.

We will be there to support them, wishing all the best.
not reallye mutch to see in the delecour video. but that little bit looks good to me, i think he will drive pretty spectacular :) same for neuville, verry aggressive driving style!

how´s the weather like at the moment? is there any predictions?
I heard from today's recce that there is almost no snow on stages of last leg, only few km on Moutauban stage. Some ice patches on Col de Turini and that's all.
Between 4 and 14° today in Antraigues. Tarmac is often dry in Ardèche.
Fantastic vid! Go Bruno!!Quote:

Another video of Delecour. Only few shots from driving but very spectacular!

He's had a little off, too. On one or two shots you can see the front bumper/spoiler is brokenQuote:

Racing Lions? That would be awesome for him!Quote:

Delecour tried to enter Monte in 2008 with a GT-class Porsche GT3 already but wasn't accepted - he said because of the manufacturers like Peugeot... because a Porsche would attract too much attention, that is difficult to have vith a 207 for example... and now he's in with a 207...
Btw. what's with the GTs this year?!?
Everyone who drove with a GT last year should rebuild their car if they want to drive ERC/IRC or WRC with it they're kinda stupid rules , well the rules we're used to by the FIA ;) .Quote:

Astra Racing doesn't have any Peugeot 207. They rent cars from others usually (like with Puntos for Toni in last two years). From the colors it looks like Racing Lion one which is top team.Quote:

Looking the long term weather maps it looked very, very promising nearly a week ago already, but now the maps look much better (in terms of rally).Quote:

Wednesday looks to be dry everywhere. The chance of precipitation is nearly zero.
The temperature continues to decrease and should not be over +2 degrees at sea level. so, everything above 300m should be below zero
Thursday: Early in the morning the temperature continues to drop and should be under 0 all day. There will be quite strong wind from north and north-east. In some stages the temperature can drop below -10 degrees (higher altitudes). There is slight chance of snow on westernmost stages. Chanche of light snow is actually everywhere where the stages took place. The chance of snow increases as the day progresses.
Friday: early in the morning there is very high possibility of snow, everywhere. and no light snow anymore, more like a snowstorm with very strong wind from North-East. As the day progresses, the chance of snow increases and more snow and wind and very cold. -10 in the mountains is high possibility. Take really warm clothes, and windproof clothes with you!
The snow-fall or maybe even a snow-storm might continue until the Saturday afternoon.
So, it looks very, very variable Monte indeed.
Shorts for the recce, autumn clothes for the start of the rally, winter clothes for the second day and arctic, windproof clothes from Thursday afternoon until the end of rally:-)
But those are mountains and everything mights change very quickly. But the general map shows that low pressure area forms south-East from the monte, that should carry cold air and snow to the district where the rally is held!
Stupid question but I'm not familiar with IRC rules... Are safety crews in use in Monte? Makes one hell of an adventure if not and conditions get more icy/snowy after recce.
