Shame about Aava. In such lack of competition consistent point finishes are more important than usual, so big risks are really not necessary - he should have tried to settle with P4. Hirvonen is an excellent proof of this theory - doesn't shine with raw pace, but thanks to finishing basically every rally he manages to collect a nice amount of points.
Its continuing the 2008 season with Ford rent a car and Loeb outclassing everyone.
I predict Loeb champion again and Citroen manufacturers champions again in 2009as to be honest there is no competition for them.

Looking the current situation, it looks that points are still real possibility for Aava.

I spent the day at the service park, met Loeb earlier which was fun :) He was the only driver to come over from park ferme and meet the fans. Looked a bit of a shambles having such a poor turn out of just Fords and Citroens but it was still exciting. People were only really interested in Loeb though. There were two mechanics up looking at Latvala's car after the crash, the msport guys thought it was pretty funny :) It never did stop raining all day but got worse just before final service. It was funny watchin Wilson stall coming out of service, he looked a bit angry :rolleyes:
