It was even before the rally started for Kubica. He was on his way to SS1. Makes it even stranger, if he was on high speed. Too late for the start, or warming up the tyres?

I read on Italian websites that it was on 4,6th kilometer of the stage in a town of Testico. You can see on a map that it is in stage: http://www.rallyshots.it/RST/docs/ro...ra11/mappa.jpg

This can't be true, atleast I got the impression that the chopper landed to the stage by looking Cargiolli's photos...

many sites (suddenly all newssites have an autosport reporter) reporting it was before the start. I found it hard to beleive, during the rally makes much more logical
