Isn't the fact that he has decided to completely disregard Loeb exactly that? An acknowledgement that there is way to much risk involved in trying to fight him, so rather just go at a pace you feel safe and comfortable with and then just make sure you keep second place?Quote:

It's not that he isn't acknowledging Loeb, he's just chosen his battles wisely - an approach that I admire personally.
