I apologise to everyone if I sparked 20 more pages of discussion on the ideal points system. I only wondered if the points system we actually have was better than the system we actually had for this moment in time.
As a Tänak fanboy I have to be on a good terms with the new scoring system. After two rallies, is highly likely that Ott would have most plus points vs old scoring system. Sunday will be blast here in Sweden
new points system will be interesting in next rallies also, if 2-3 drivers retire then sunday will be always nice
Imo points for a stage win would work only if there were more overall points (let's say up to 50 for the best driver) and more importantly, consistent stage amount for every rally.
I think that a few points for overall winner would be best.
I personally would have left the old system and just added the super Sunday.
Taka unable to finish the interview during the service. In bits, tears in his eyes
Probably this was his best chance for a win.
Kalle 1 s/km fatser than Ott. I don't think that the difference between being first and second is that huge.
Ott saving tyres?
Small overshot of a junction for Neuville.
Smart driving again by Fourmaux, looking after the tyres.
First stage win for Evans in Sweden this year.
Great time for Pajari.
Now an overshot also for Munster.
On the long straight Munster reached only 181 km/h where Tänak did 192 km/h. 186 km/h for Bertelli.
So the main question before the long stage is who has managed their tires the best
Great job by Fourmaux... one more to go.
Solberg loosing allready 10 sec to Linnemae on third split
But taking some time back towards the end
Suddenly it's all tyres, all the time.
Yes, he’s been excellent so far.
I’ve said before, this lad has got the minerals. He had a torrid 2022 when everything snowballed away from him, but got himself together last year and has so far started very well, cautiously, this year.
People were comparing him to Loubet, he’s miles better than Loubet. I’ve seen a lot of good and bad drivers over the last 40+ years watching, and he’s good.
How far can he go? Who knows, but I hope he keeps up the good work.
He will probably throw it in a snow bank now I’ve said this!
10km stage and first split on 7.3km :D
Kalle a second slower on last stage of the day, wich is also the power stage tomorrow
Munster crashed.
Munster stuck
Munster struck
I hope Adrien stays ahaid of Elfyn.
Pitty for Gregoire
Oh, he's really parked that.
