Michelin Day2 video
At least Hyundai will benefit from this (if stays like this). Damn! Paddon bring that car to the finish in one piece.
Nice video from leg 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKPtWfqasMQ
Ogier stalled at the start of 13 and hit a rock during the final stage.
Even better video

Toyota obviosuly has an issue when under compression. The engine and cooling components sit fairly low which is great for COG, but you compromise with clearance. They have damaged a sh!t load of components under hard compression or hitting rocks which the other cars have done and gotten away with.
It seems they will have to modify the front of the car. The car seems to be only good on smooth flowing roads similar to that of Finnish roads, but that does not cut it to be WRC champs.
Also that big rock on SS16 in the middle of the road was odd, but maybe the cars digged up this 30lb boulder??
I didn't say it hit the battery but the knock probably damaged the battery internally which is not very common. Julian was told it was the battery in the studio and from what i saw they weren't working near the alternator. Sounds correct since they couldn't even push start it with help.
He did say something about "today's batteries are very good" in the autosport article; maybe I didn't pay too close attention to the article but I thought that quote was a little out of place compared to the other stuff he said, so maybe I read it wrong and he spoke about the battery taking a knock.
Good evening from New Zealand, could be an interesting few hours coming up
Their press release mentions alternator problem https://toyotagazooracing.com/releas...rd07-day3.html
and:
" We are still investigating exactly what happened, but we know that he had low battery voltage when he got to the end of the stage"
"I got to the end of the stage, but we had an alternator warning and eventually we ran out of battery on the road section."
EDIT: All Live interview this morning says they don't know exacty what went wrong.
Good morning lads, let's enjoy the battle and hope our title contenders stay on the road. Very exciting this! Rally could be decided on this one.
#Tyre info - Final day
All the Michelin #WRC drivers with 5 MICHELIN LTX Force S5 except
Latvala and Lappi with 4S +1H
Good morning guys!
Ott Tänak
Last day of @Rally_d_Italia has started! We will go for a maximum attack and take everything that we can from the Powerstage!
Ogier has got this i think, the stage is cleaning and not so many kms left for Neuville to catch
but we will see
Judging by what Ostberg said the Citroëns were instructed to finish as they are, even though he wanted to fight with Paddon.
Ogier 0.4 sec quicker in spl2
Neuville with amazing splits.
NOT you will lost the bet with beers.
edit are splits for real? -12 for Ogier at 1st split?
Ogier +0.1 in spl3...oh man!!!
mistake from a Tänak, saw his speed just 3km/h for a second and you can see it in second split
What a battle (for the lead) on our hands we have coming into Sunday, can't remember the last time this happened.
and Neuville takes 0.8!!
What a stage! The championship contenders s/km faster than everyone else but still fighting for tenths between each other. On a road that's barely car wide with walls on both side.
Mikkelsen again in trouble?
