And I had 2 beers while watching Eurovision
Last night there was a gathering of the lonely hearts club. We started with ultra-expensive bourbon and continued with vodka. Not very wise...
But at least it worked
It sure did. Except, I spent the whole day of today mightily depressed and feeling sick. Now I'm going to sleep and I hope I will feel better tomorrow.
I have these moments about once a year and I hope this was my annual low and I will be going uphill from now on.
I get moments like that and I am generally am quite a happy person.
I try to focus on the wider world and look at all the people past and present getting on with their lives. All the animals and plants getting on with things and the sun shining on your face.
Look at the amazing world we live in and you can't help but be amazed and hopefully it will make you feel better.
Hope you find some peace and happiness :)
Thanks, Steve. I fully agree with you. During those moments, though, it's not about the world around. It's about me and some kind of a black hole that opens inside.
Oh well, I'd rather go to bed. Tomorrow will be tomorrow. Like I say in such cases, the life is long, the world is wide, the Lord is merciful, and something else will come my way.
I know what you mean Rudy.
Hope you feel better soon
You're lucky Rudy if you feel like this only once a year. I'm always unhappy but not that bad. And it's very easy to change my mood.
Allergies do that to me this time of year, every year for the past 30 years or so. I'm not joking and I'm not saying that's what you're experiencing. But according to a doctor I saw a long time ago, some people do experience real emotional lows caused by seasonal factors (for some people, it's the onset of Winter). Since I now know what it is and what causes it, and I've come to expect it, it no longer bothers me as much.
I hope tomorrow is a better day for you though.
Under 20 World Cup starts here in 3 days. New Plymouth has the honour of hosting Brazil, Nigeria, Hungary and North Korea. Can go to all 5 games (Brazil, North Korea is in Christchurch, plus a quarter final for around $100 - 50 quid)
And the news this morning is that 6 FIFA officials were arrested by Police
Just what do the Police know ,about the "Gifts" and "Brown Envelopes" ,"Free Holidays" ,and is the world now being awakened to the corruptness in this club of officials ?
There are two different investigations involving this. One in Switzerland and one in the US. Hopefully those guilty will be weeded out and dealt with and FIFA can regain some credibility.
I was in your position back at the end of March. We had a meeting to tell us that the company was in trouble financially and they needed to lose people. They asked for staff to come forward if they wanted to take voluntary redundancy. I didn't put myself forward as the Design Manager (my boss) told me there was no way they would get rid of me. It was bad timing as I was due to go on holiday for 2 weeks at the beginning of April.
I came home to a letter telling me I was redundant! Two other designers were up too. They decided to keep the junior designer on because of his cheap salary and get rid of three senior staff. I was gutted for about a week but have ended up getting a job as a Design Engineer for a lot more money and only a few miles from home. Before I was commuting 40 miles each way so it shows things happen for a reason and usually work out!
I hope you get a good solution Anfield, all the best on that mate :)
I don't go through other members profiles. However I've just been looking through some. In the couple of years I've been on here. Based on the way they communicate and embellish Lewis Hamilton. I would've thought truefan72 was in his early 20s, and The Black Knight a teenager. I was left stunned at the truth.
I like spam spam eggs spam and spam more than spam eggs spam spam and spam :dozey:

I wonder id I can write a little virus to send back to Rajveer Sharma. That will shut his computer down, explode, melt, hopefully with him sitting directly in front of it at the time, melting his fingers into his keyboard. (not that I condone this sort of thing but.....)
Well... this is the last update/post I will be sending from work. Finish today, meant to be at 4pm, but I cant see myself being here after lunch :)
Have been accepted onto a Business Degree course starting on the 20th of next month, so if no jobs come up I will be a student again for the next three years. Not too sure how I feel about this but it is better than being unemployed and is at least a productive use of my time. :D
It's official: it's summer!
I have been out today and missed the F1 race......
Thats on my mind. :p
I missed it too and found out the result accidentally on purpose lol. I doubt i'll bother watching it to be honest. I've only caught one race live this season and seen 3 or 4 highlights shows from the rest. Most of my catch up has been reading about it in the web. My interest has faded of late hence why I rarely visit these days... :)
Hey Henners. You ain't missed much.
Been average at very best. One of the dullest starts to an F1 season for many years. IMO
starts? we are heading for one of the dullest seasons ever, not even Hamilton throwing away the title would make it very interesting.
First pisht posht in donkey's... :bandit: :andrea:
Just noticed I have way more likes than most on here :D
Guessing thats means one of three things.
1. I am well liked here
2. I talk so much sense that everyone agree's
or
3. I post so much that I am bound to get more likes and am thus very dull.
Just noticed that you also liked more than most on here.. ;llaugh:
