So next time I see IRC drivers I will think twice for their results achieved.Quote:

Is this theoretically possible , to beat 2 Peugeot works drivers and a very fast WRC on ALL stages of the day in an S1600 ??? Kubica , you are THE best rally driver currently in the world :)
Ucci, as you can see, Kubica shout beat easily also drivers from WRC :) But we will see on Monte, I am looking forward to it. Especially to fight Kubica vs Raikkonen :DQuote:

Am I missing something? Was the weather kind to Kubica or something because that is literally unreal. Faster than Sarrazin and Bouffier on every stage today despite having a much worse car! Overall the results were crazy - people winning stages by 20/30s from 2nd place.
According to my friend, who was there as co-driver in historic (4th overall, 2nd ERC), it was raining today but warmer than yesterday when there was even some snow on the road...
Yeah, since Rally Du Var, rain is actualy better for a front wheel drive car than a 4wd one :) . Would realy like to see RK in an s2k.
I read somewhere that Kubica is will not drive Monte Carlo. Something changed?Quote:

I'm also impressed by Kubica's pace at the rallye du Var
My pictures here : http://www.rally-news.fr/gallery/show/9608
enjoy ;)
Really nice photos.
Sorry to go on, but did Renault have some sort of presentation at du var for the new N4 2wd Megane that was used as 0 car there, they said on their page they should have the formal presentation there. Was there something?
Maybe that it will satisfy you ;)Quote:

Kubica drive was amazing. It must be remembered the S1600 is probably the best tarmac 2 wheel driver car ever built. Meeke destroyed Ogier some time ago in Germany in a Clio.

"Le Grand Challenge" 2010 starts today afternoon :p :

There was this young gentle symphatetic French driver with a female co-driver, they used to drive Peugeots and also Fabia WRCs some three years ago on some tarmac WRC events quite successfuly (5.-8.places at RMC, TdC...) - what happened to them, sadly haven't heard anything the last years :-(
They drove something in French championship with 307 WRC one or two years a go. For a short time also in Ypres 2009 with Corsa S2000...
If you mean Bengue...its a long story...he announced a few years back that he quits rallying but from time t time he appears in some local events.Quote:

He was an example for other people also hit by disease, handicaped, etc...seeing that they could keep on their hobbies in spite of their health problems
R.I.P. Michel, condolences to family and friends ;(
Thanks N.O.T. In fact there were more promising "young" french tarmac drivers in the past... Bengue, Bernardi, Tirabassi... what happened to all of them? Is the drivers career in France so dependent on the almighty FFSA?Quote:

Full tarmac rally championship season in the Porsche GT3 + for Romain Dumas :)
Belgian driver Claudie Tanghe with a Citroën DS3 R3 on rallye des Routes du Nord(event counting as first of the french Citroën Racing Trophy) ;)
Another one on the same car: Bart Maes...someone from the forum heard of him ???

Yes, Bart Maes won the regional Hemicuda Rally in Belgium last year in an Octavia WRC from Bernard Munster Autosport and was 4th overall in the Short Rally Staden with the same car.Quote:

Probably Kris Princen (Clio R3) will be there. If he finds more budget, he will contest more rounds of the French Clio R3 Trophy.
Simon Jean-Joseph back in rally world with a Citroën C4 WRC in french gravel championship this season :)
It's not really latest news, as it's known since several weeks, but hasn't been written in this thread yet :p :
18 Twingo R1 on the start for the first tarmac event in France. Not bad.
Will they go in the gravel rounds also?
Also only 1 Megane N4. will more come?
Rumour of a belgian driver coming to the french Peugeot Volant 207 cup this season: wonder if it's not Ghislain de Mévius, on the way to Rally van Haspengouw this week-end in that car(207 R3T)
Andreas Mikklelsen coming to Corsica next week to run the Ronde de Giraglia as preparation of Tour de Corse/IRC
Corsican driver Jean-François Succi would also drive there a Skoda Fabia S2000 ;)
thats some very good news!Quote:
