Congrats Wings indeed  Vilppula only 7th Finn to win the Cup so two   for him.
Pity for Penguins I would have loved to see my favourite rat Jarkko Ruutu to raise the Cup but it was not ment to be, better luck next time.
Age-old saying, "there's no substitute for experience". Penguins found that out.
While it will hurt right now, Crosby & Malkin will be better for it. It'll make them more hungry to take the Cup next season.
... depending on if Ove & Co. (Capitals) have anything to say about it. ;) :D
I suspect that this is the first time ever that a Stanley Cup winning goal went in via butt-cheeks!
Congrats Red Wings.
Those that know me will shreek in awe-but My money is on a Pitt-Det rematch with a much different ending next year.
Congrats to MY Wings.and the parade was awesome as well.
Now Homers sports hurnia surgury.....whaaaaat.
What do you know. OJ got finally away from Panthers and is now in Coyotes.
It'll be interesting to see what Sundin does. Will he jump off to Habs?
Bob Gainey said he'll try hard to make him an offer before the trade deadline.Quote:

Great Britain News:
Head Coach Paul Thompson has drafted in 3 new recruits ahead of Team GB’s Olympic qualification tournament in Poland this November. Jez Lundin (Newcastle Vipers) Ben O’Connor (Coventry Blaze) and Jason Hewitt (Sheffield Steelers) all make the squad for the first time alongside returnee’s Steve Thornton, Paul Sample and Colin Shields
Hey BTCC2, what do the numbers following the team name represent? Total points? How many games does each team play in a season?Quote:

yeah total points, that's all that matters in deciding the standings, don't know if it's the same in NHL or not.
Each team plays 54 regular season games. So far most have played 10.
The fact that Coventry Blaze are not top has made the national news, which is the first time in my lifetime ice hockey has done that in the UK, apart from when the NHL came over.
Awesome :DQuote:

thats very sad, first Luc Bourdon now Cherepanov. Two prospects that were expected to do great things in the NHLQuote:
