Stone damaging an alternator belt? How do You want to get the stone in the engine bay?
Pretty easy if you lost or damaged under engine protection, happened to me some years ago and it made it's marks on the carter, even if it didn't do anything to the belt.Quote:

Doesn't have to be a big stone, I've seen a belt been split in tow just by a 3mm rock stuck in one of the tracks of a roller.Quote:

Thierry Neuville's engine was cutting out because a fuel pressure sensor had become disconnected. Team boss Michel Nandan said this 'stupid' problem was most likely due to the connector not being fully locked in place.

Dani Sordo's sticking throttle was caused by a damaged floor pan. Probably the result of a stone impact. Now fixed.
