Can it be a Volvo?
Austin?
HAHA! stevoevo, good one, but no, i dont deal with trabants anymore!
it's not british, it's not a volvo.
tips: it's got 65hp, it's a 1963 model, did its first monte in the 60's and has had DNFs for the past couple of years at the monte historique. it's a typical frank type of car, sort of rare, old, and sort of weird.
Vw 1500s
i'll take 1500s. i would have also taken Notchback, or Type 3.
basically the car was built for Norge's Kjell Gudim (sp?) for the 64 monte. it won rally sorland in 66 when gudim was co driven by monty karlan. monty then got a hold of the car in the mid/late 90's and took it to second place at the motecarlo historique in 99 or 2000. then it was sold to another norwegian by the name of jan skutte (sp?) who got it to a famed german shop called the bugbox where it was restored. since then though, it has failed to finish monte carlo historique! strange if you ask me because usually the bugbox does good work. i absolutly love this car and i love old veedubs so with great pleasure, here is the picture that i got from the bugbox website (http://www.1-4-3-2-go.com):
hum, i was just surfing the site and i couldn't the picture anymore. did a quick search for legality's sake and found that picture was on http://www.thesamba.com now. so concider it from there. there were no copywrite material written on the page.
Thank christ for that, thought we'd be here all night :laugh:Quote:
