Rally Sweden 2013

I must throw in this small torch:

Citroen might need to improve car against VW. It might be that VW has stronger engine (more powerful I mean). So Citroen has to meet up with that fact. Even of course Ford...

+ Ogier, Loeb, Ostberg, Neuville, Tidemand (what a pity his engine broke), Al Rahji and Grondal
- Latvala (no where near his teammate), Sordo, Hirvonen, Novikov (went off when he didn't need to push)

Couple of things to say in summary, I am so glad for Seb Ogier, I have been a big supporter since I saw him in JWRC in Mexico 2008 and he really is a great guy as well. Second point Seb Loeb is fantasic competitor and these twoFrench guys have really shown the rest of the field how far ahead they are.
Now comes the downside - I firmly believe Seb Loeb entered the first two rallies to see how a) fast, b) unreliable or c) how slow VW is? Now that Seb Ogier with a second in monte and first in Sweden has proven how good they are I wonder if Citroen board will hasten the move to WTCC soon?
I cant see Citroen stay around to see Seb Ogier and VW dominate :-(

On the current basis I fear this year may be even more boring than usual! Ogier is simply the best driver out there, and there is no threat whatsoever from Ford and its drivers. Mikko is becoming almost like Massa - simply unnoticeable and never on the pace. JML will show pace but no consistency, or consistency and poor pace as this weekend. Got to hope Sordo improves to provide Ogier with any sustained threat.

If Ogier wins so comfortably on snow I cant see how the others are going to beat him on anything else ...

So strong from the very start with the new VW, its just another Seb thrashing the rest...

Latvala's safety here is completely understandable for me. I would want to be in his place trashing 2 Polos for first 2 Rallies. He needs more expereince with the car.

I think JML was under orders to bring it home in one piece this rally, he did that. The car is looking good so far and when he has more experience the Ogier/Latvala combination will be awesome for VW.
