I do miss him however I'm pretty sure he would be no match for Loeb. He has never been so good in Monte Carlo.

Normally there is nobody who can catch Loeb on french stages :)

I was thinking something slightly different. Would it be an advantage to remove some new studs from a new tyre, then replace them later to give the tyre 'a second life'? The regulations don't permit teams to alter the tyre's profile (i.e. add grooves), but I wonder if stud removal and replacement is permitted by the teams or by the tyre supplier?

JML has punctured 2 tyres already, 1 was definitely a stud

Also can't recall if this has been asked, is it permitted / possible to replace worn studs on the tyre in service?

After SS7 Loeb's stubs were untouched. I guess some reuse them
