This rally was nervous even before the rally started whether it would be canceled or not.
We went there with zero expectations and were very pleasantly surprised.
The roads held much better than I thought they would do and it was much smaller ruts than it usually is.
At Finnskogen and Nyckelvattnet the road was completely smooth after the cars had passed, which is usually notr the case.
There was not much ice on the road where we were and at Finnskogen there were only very few spots.
You can't say much about Likenäs. If it is plus degrees for more than 24 hours and in addition heavy rain and wind, ice and snow disappear very quickly. It was the right decision to cancel the first round of the stage.
However, it seems that tires and roads held much better than everyone thought it would. So I am happy that they could drive even though they obviously would have liked to have seen a longer rally.
About the future of rallying, I think you have to try to find more snow-safe stages even though this winter is the worst in almost 30 years.
A big thank you to everyone who was involved in the rally and especially the marshalls who worked in to the end to get so god roads as it could be under these conditions.
