I've already started to dream about this holidays with cold beers and friends in front of the TV watching rally all day long :)
I would've hoped Renault to be one of them (they have a "pre-WRC project" going on with the Megane RS), but I'm not sure how far they're commiting to F1, maybe solely as an engine supplier in the future, in mind of a possible Lotus takeover.
Saab sounds unlikely, they're in such bad shape right now. Maybe after a big Russian or Chinese investment, but otherwise no. Subaru is possible, but I would prefer Toyota; a big VW rival. Combined with Bridgestone maybe?
Fiat re-entering would be a dream come true, the Italians have been absent for too long.
RENAULT-NISSAN! :D
New Clio is coming in 2013, I think...
Saab is not possible. They cannot even pay the salaries for the workers! Why would they focus on Wrc when they can't even afford one of the most basic things of all?Quote:

I did not heard anything about other manufacturers...Quote:

And we're disappointed with Quesnell's voice. :D
seems Citroen is losing their patience with Kimi, but as far as he is paying for his seat that is fine.
is it possible that Proton steps into WRC? colin clark asked Chris Atcko the question, and it seems that there is a possibility for that
What did he expected from Kimi? To win rallies? To me, he is doing good enough for someone who started rallying 2 years ago...Quote:

Proton is a posibility but not sure when... Atkinson won't be doing Rally Australia - he ran out of time in finding a car and some support :(
or Citroen, AND Ford, could give their clients, who pay millions of Euro's, a decent rallycar, with strong and reliable materialQuote:

I've been thinking this as well. All the indicators point in that direction. 1 They have the money, 2 They obviously see rallying as part of their marketing strategy as they are doing the IRC and APRC at the moment. It looks as if they will win the APRC this year as they have a good points lead. 3 Why did Atko do the Finland recce, and who paid for him to be there?Quote:

... and before the pessimists say "NOT another Suzuki, Seat or Hyundai", I'll say "you can't win the Lottery unless you buy a ticket".
+1 heear hear
thast exactly the reason they FAIL....they see motorsport as a lottery....Quote:

This week i heard several rumours that Quesnel could be dismiss of PSA at the end of the year
I have no precise source but 3 different voices announce me the same thing
Dismissed, or just moved to a different role?Quote:

Better to remove brainless Malcolm Wilson.
I don't know exactly, in french we say "sur un siège éjectable" (on an ejector seat). PSA board would not be satisfied, he has to improve his management quickly.Quote:

probably itjust gonna be a different person directly in charge of the rally team, and he will overlook the overall motorpsort of PSA group? there were many voices against him this year with his handling of loeb/ogier situation
Dont know if this has been here but before Ketomaa secured two more rallies this year just before NORF. Both are on asphalt. He's doing Spain with R4 Mitsubishi and France with most propably WRC. The car deal for France is not yet confirmed.
Good for him.
The sooner Quesnel is removed the better. His handling of the Ogier and Loeb situation has caused a 'Rossi & Lorenzo' situation.
what is this "situation" ??
If Quesnel is removed as PSA Motorsport chief, it will be because of Peugeot's failure to win Le Mans with 3 cars against 1 Audi for over half the race - and last years 3 cars blowing up.
Should have worded that as "will create a Rossi and Lorenzo" situation.Quote:

I'm happy for Ketomaa :) And so this means Ford is confirmed for 2012?Quote:

The Ketomaa news is also welcome but also highlights the doubts I think many have...he's already 32 and gets 6 event programme? I hope he does well and can get more but really this is his last chance to show it.
