Cant remember a power stage where everyone went full retard like this. Amazing stuff
Kalle isn’t the force he was last year, at least not so far in the season
Wow Ott's time is mega
Neuville +0.2 to Tanak haha
Go Evans!!
Evans has no mojo anymore
Evans - master of losing with less than second.
And Ogiers goes and shows who is the King here.
Ogier playing for the team. This is a first
Why Ogier? Why?
Ogier: ,,What are you doing young boys..?''
Eat dirt!
6 points for Tanak. Not so bad after what happened in the first day. Great run for Ogier in power stage
Ogier adding insult to Evans injury. Took a point from him
And the situation:
1. Ogier 56
2. Neuville 53
3. Rovenperä 52
4. Tänak 47
5. Evans 44
Legend!
Its been an honor posting with you
Now do you guys see why I'd prefer having Ogier do the full championship, only 12(!) points separating the top 5 drivers, when was the last time we had this? (& mind you it's only 3 manufacturers).
Really glad Tänak could take those extra bonus points from Rovanperä.
Once again a tremendous comeback from Thierry Neuville from 6th after SS 4 to 2nd at the finish

Anyway, if was interesting and intense PowerStage. Nice to see most of them were pushing for points.
As I said time and again, when Rovanperä saw the competition isn't even near him, he was playing with them; However from the second half of the season, if you'd compare the points tally between Tänak & Rovanperä you'll see the difference being reduced with Tänak also taking 3 wins with a car he hasn't properly gelled yet. This year he's (Rovanperä ) already feeling the pressure and he won't have it that easy. I won't be surprised if he'll start making mistakes soon (which he hardly done last year).
No problems for Ogier, I'm sure he's enjoying starting rallies from far back :D
Great rally by Neuville and Evans, they pushed very hard in a 2 day long fight and they didn't make big mistakes, only 0.4 s at the end.
I think some are underestimating Kalle. In my opinion those 4th places a driver scraps in his "bad" rallies are the most essential thing for the championship. He might not have been blindly faster than the others like last year, but it was a mature drive, he clearly couldn't do more than 4th.
Good job by Greensmith and Solberg too.
Also it was only his second time here, and last time was cut short for Rovanperä. On the other hand this was, what?, Ogier's 13th time here, it's his second best rally after Monte-Carlo. Have to agree, great fight by Evans & Neuville, hopefully next time it'll be for the win.
Ogier will be leading the series after Croatia more than 10 points, so probably will not be in Portugal, because there he would be 1st on the road. In Sardegna can again take the advantage starting after the main contenders and dominate. Seven events is not enough, but 8-10 rounds programme and Ogier is the main favorite for the WRC title.
Don't think Ogier has any interest in going to Estonia and Finland as Top 3 seeded driver. Possible he goes on till then, skips these 2 and see where he is come Acropolis and Chile.
So Ogier now announcing that he will do also Croatia then it will be his 6th start out of last 7 rallies.
“Retirement” lol
Rememeber how Ogier said that the contract with Citroen is his last? Well, it wasn't.
Remember how Ogier said that 2020 will be his final year? Well, it wasn't.
In short: he has a habit of saying things and then not following through.
But I wouldn't be critical of him, it's just a remark.
It's not Seb's fault he is so good and he enjoys rallying too much to completely walk away. And if the results give him a chance to fight for a title then why shouldn't he give it a go? After all, many drivers have said that they haven't seen someone who's will to win is as high as Seb's. He's wired to be a champion.
I was 100% sure before the season that he won't do Croatia as in '22 he seemed to pick rallies that were meaningful to him. Croatia isn't and it's dangerous as locals with their beemers want a drag race while you're driving towards a stage. So my new prediction: if succesful in Croatia he'll do Portugal as starting first isn't awful there. It is bad in Sardegna, however. Also, if Seb really wants to have a push for the title he can't miss many rallies as Estonia and Finland are out of the question. I guess that if he'd want to lose his passion for WRC he'll come to Estonia and Finland :D
Edit: nvm, Ogier is not doing Portugal. https://www.rtbf.be/article/wrc-seba...tugal-11170046
Q:
The next event is Croatia. It’s a challenging tarmac event. Why have you selected that one?
SO:
I hope this time it will be a bit smoother. I think this one came about after a common discussion with the team. They have seen my form on tarmac and we decided that could be an event where I am a good asset for the team. It was not necessarily my choice to go there but I was happy to give it a go. Like I say, I have good memories and I am allowed to drive in Croatia again. That’s good.

so who won?
I was there at the jump and for sure Taka won... :)
An awesome event to attend again and photograph. It was surprising that it was 3 years ago to last week that we all had to rebook our flights on Saturday to depart on Sunday.
Great to see the fans out on the stages, the atmosphere in the service park and action and fight on the stages.
Lets hope it goes Mexico, USA and Chile back to back in 2024. (Service park chat)
