I think heavy crashes have affected the youngsters. Fourmaux will also suffer from that from now...
Only Colin could shake it off without any problems.
Hyundai needs slippery conditions. Works then
he made mistakes and last year, Monza for example, he needs alot of work...................
And msport works best on dry tarmac but loose a lot on slippery one
Greensmith is losing it...
No hybrid for Gus...
Loeb M-Sport leads !
Loeb leads!!!!
Turn your clocks back to 2003 Loeb is leading Monte Carlo Rally!
Loeb is in my eyes the greatest and most talented Motorsport guy the world has ever seen
I have a thought for Isabelle Galmiche who sees the landscape passing by at a speed she did not dare to imagine possible before today !
After just five stages of the opening round of the 2022 season, M-Sport Ford have won thrice the number of stages they won in the whole of the 2021 series. . . .hmmmmm!!!!
Fourmaux has shown last year at times he can be sensible though - take it easy on certain stages and then target specific stages to increase the pace etc.
Imo he should just focus on the positives of his pace in these few stages before his off. Accidents happen, and he just got a bit overconfident finally having a competive car. Hopefully the next few rallies he can keep it on the road even if he dialls the pace back a bit.
As you say too many crashes can really effect a driver. And there won't be another McRae with his mindset to never let crash after crash effect his belief in his ability/speed.

The second loop will be interesting to follow.
Wow wow wow. This is just amazing.
Sadly shows how bad a time he had with that Hyundai car but this reverses those doubts about Seb losing any pace & his outright pace.
Loving Isabelle’s pink watch but crickey what a load of fun it must be.
Allez Seb !
Loeb in the lead by 10 seconds no less! What a story!
I think he was aiming at the same here, after SS1 he said that "this is the most difficult stage so we took it carefully".
Remember also Fourmaux had a major crash in Ypres, a medium one in Monza and a small touch in Catalunya...crashes in all four latest tarmac rallies
Camilli lost plenty of time

Puncture for Loix, changed on the stage
I hope Loeb gets to the finish, but no matter what, he's just the greatest in my book. 2nd at Dakar, flies to Monte, swaps overalls, gets in the Puma and now he's leading Monte... at what age?? :D
Hyundai doesn't seem very slow, but Neuville's comments on how "scary" it is to drive is worrying.
Looking at the pace of loeb and especially greensmith, i think the ford is a level above the others speedwise. Although it is weird to see breen so far back then.
My personal perception is that the Ford is perhaps the most resolved package at the minute, but the Toyota maybe a little quicker when it’s in the window (or it could be Ogier/Evans making the difference) weird to see Rovanpera and Katsuta so far off tho.
The Hyundai is just underdeveloped, but I’m sure it’ll get there quite quickly and with Neuville and Tanak they will always have a chance.
