Hyundai Portugal Team presentation can be seen live tommorow from 12.30 GMT:

Besides Magalhães new co-driver revelation, hope we’ll also learn about a second car being entered for a young crew. Fingers crossed.
Btw, one of Rali Serras de Fafe attractions is already testing: Vallejo’s Racing 911 GT3 (using Tuthill gravel kit), driven by local driver ‘Mex’. It’ll be great to hear the flat6 on a forest again!

Mixed felings about today’s announcements; it’s great to see Hyundai Portugal and its partners raising their investement in the sport by supporting Magalhães on a full scale ERC program but it’s a bit disappointing not having a younger driver using their car in the national series. Guys like Diogo Gago, Pedro Paixão or Pedro Antunes have been struggling to advance their careers and any of them would deserve Hyundai’s CPR seat.
Anyway, with 5 former CPR champs (Magalhães, Araújo, Fontes, Meireles and Teodósio) and hopefully some more fighting for this year CPR with top cars and top teams, we can hardly complain about the national rally scene. Best luck to all of them and to all the others competing at this great rally series.
Any news on Citroën Portugal plans for 2020  we're 10 days before start of Rali Serra de Fafe after all :mark:
You can follow Citroen PT here: https://www.facebook.com/CitroenVodafoneTeam/
Btw, besides JP Fontes, gentleman driver Alfredo Barros will also run the CPR on a C3, switching from a Fiesta. Diogo Gago will run the first 2 rounds on a C3, although his target is Açores regional series. In Madeira series, reigning champ Alex Camacho has switched from a Fabia to a C3. Apart Barros, all the C3’s will be run by Sports&You (Fontes team).
Good news for Rali Serras de Fafen, Gryazin will be in the start
https://www.laregion.es/articulo/mas...412926241.html
Pedro Heller also in Rali Serras de Fafe e Felgueiras.
https://www.laregion.es/articulo/mas...010926415.html
Gryazin was already expected but Heller’s entry is a big and nice surprise. Already over 20 R5’s on this event list; with Sordo and Tanak also there on their WRC’s it’s not hard to predict a full house at Fafe!
One more!
Exclusiva: El hermano pequeño de Pedro Heller, Alberto, también estará en el Rali Serras de Fafe
https://www.laregion.es/articulo/mas...742926473.html
To me, a bit unexpected the entry of Pedro Heller, as he declared at the end of 2019 that he will focus mainly on the National Championship and maybe doing a few WRC events.
As far as I remember, he would be focusing on the family business. Besides that, he also started a program that aims to find and develop a new young driver from Chile.

Great list and huge expectations for the Portuguese series opening round, Rali Serras de Fafe e Felgueiras. Besides the ‘extra’ entries of Tanak and Sordo, Gryazin is the favourite for the event win but CPR main contenders and the Heller brothers won’t certainly make his life easy. Big fight also in 2wd category, with JWRC regulars Bell and Oldrati facing the top national competitiors. Gr.N (with national legend Adruzilo Lopes returning on an Evo), local ace 'Mex' on a 911 and the Regional series will add even more excitement to this fantastic rally.

As expected, 'Rali Serras de Fafe e Felgueiras' was a great event to spectate with lots of good cars and crews doing their best to entertain a large crowd. Despite his late off, Gryazin was always spectacular and deserved the win but it’s fair to say that Araújo also deserves it as he was the only one giving Gryazin a proper figth (Araújo only started to ease, for CPR points sake, after the morning loop). Guys like A.Heller, Teodósio or Magalhães occassionaly managed to impress but most of the time were a step down from the top2. Linnamae, a young Estonian runing Fafe for the second time, was flying in 2wd category during the first day but retired on the second (tech issues?) leaving Bell, Almeida and Nunes fighting for the win; Nunes, after a large time without rallying due to a traffic accident, eventually dominate his rivals getting a fantastic win. Nice return also of former national champ Adruzilo Lopes, being the best Gr.N with a Evo IX while the regional event was won by Simões on a Evo VI.

another good vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCRzf6B7ULY
Gryazin small mistake is understandable; he was here mainly to get more used to the car limits and kept pushing despite his advantage to Araújo. Magalhães complained about not being able to get a proper setup with the new specs; hope he can do better at Açores.

Everything is in order for the Rali Castelo Branco next week :)
After a long break, since Rali Serras de Fafe in February, the 2020 CPR will be resumed this weekend at Castelo Branco, with many changes due to Covid safety rules; a shorter route, no SSS or ceremonial start/finish and spectator restrictions at the stages or at the service park are expected to be the new normal on post-lockdown events. Still, a nice entry list with several contenders for the overall and different classes wins.

Can't wait to follow times of Pedro Antunes in his new 208 Rally 4 :D
For now, after SS5 Castelo Branco, Pedro Antunes is 9th overall ;)
Big problems for Pedro Almeida though, I guess mechanical :(
I’m not there but from what I’ve heard Almeida went off on SS5 and yesterday he lost time changing a punctured wheel; Antunes times are mindblowing!
Btw, nice figth for the overall win, with Magalhães trying to catch Araújo. Gutted for Fontes issues; he’s always fast in Castelo Branco.

Congrats to Araújo, codriver Ramalho and the Racing Factory team for a brilliant win on Rali de Castelo Branco. Magalhães brave efforts in the i20 weren’t enough to beat the Fabia driver while Fontes (C3) ruined his chances with a broken rear arm on SS5; apparently Teodósio was never able to match those 3 and so wasn’t Meireles in the Polo. Great debut for the 208 Rally4, with a striking win for Paulo Antunes in the 2wd category. Some issues for Gil Antunes on his Dacia R4 debut, still enough to beat Teotónio on an Evo X, the best N4. Pascoal in a 911 4.0 Cup was the best GT and on an old SC version José Cruz won the historic class. Next CPR event is expected to be Rali Vinho da Madeira (6-8 of August).
Rali de Castelo Branco Top 10:

First round of madeiran championship next weekend(rali da Calheta)should be quite interesting to follow ;)
No entrylist published yet, but looks like a quite big number of R5s for such event(at least 12) :)
Yep, top CPR crews will run it as a preparation for Rali Vinho da Madeira; as usual, it won’t be easy for them to beat local aces, especially as those are using new cars (C3 for Camacho and Fabia Evo for Nunes).

Big figth on Rali da Calheta between local drivers Nunes (winner) and Paixão (P2, only 2.5s behind). Araújo touched a barrier and lost P3 on the last stage to Fontes. Camacho debut on the C3 ended early with a broken rear arm. Almeida was the best 2wd/2l on his 208 Rally4.

A nice entrylist for next week Rali Vinho da Madeira
Note the return of Adruzilo Lopes in a 208 R2
Rali Vinho da Madeira starts tomorrow with CPR main contenders fighting for the win with local aces. Besides the national crews, Pepe Lopez is also there on a Sports&You C3.

Nice fight at Madeira and a great win for Nunes, the first on his home rally. Paixão (Fabia) was Nunes major rival until the last loop, when his car engine started to fail. Camacho was never far from the two in front, ending at P2 after Paixão retirement. Lopez struggled with set-up issues, being P3 and Magalhães was the only CPR contender able to show a top pace on the first day, before easing to save championship points (he’s P2 on the CPR, only a handful of points behind Araújo). Freitas was P10, winning RGT on a 911, while the old camp Sá was the best 2wd/2l on his DS3 R3, after a fantastic fight with Fernandes on a Clio R3T. Pires (Evo X) won N4 and Antunes was the best (and only) R4, still his Sandero was beat by the fastest 2wd cars. Next CPR round will be Rali do Alto Tâmega (28-30 August), a tarmac event in the north returning to the series after 30 years!
2020 Rali Vinho da Madeira top 10:
1. Miguel Nunes/João Paulo - Skoda Fabia R5 Evo; 1:40:39.5
2. Alexandre Camacho/Pedro Calado - Citroen C3 R5; +13.1
3. Pepe Lopez/Borja Rozada - Citroen C3 R5; +24.0
4. Bruno Magalhães/Carlos Magalhães - Hyundai i20 R5; +34.2
5. João Silva/Vitor Calado - Skoda Fabia R5 Evo; +39.7

10. Filipe Freitas/Daniel Figueiroa – Porsche 991 GT3 Cup; +4:12.4
