Yellow Jens GP Racing Team is the official team name until the end of the season, when based on new management and sponsorship deals the new name will be formed.

However, based on recent developments some new directions have emerged. Based on voting the team has appointed a new temporary manager, whose goal is to secure the future of the team and conclude sustainable deals for the team to carry on into the future.

It has emerged that the Temporary Manager of still-named Yellow Jens GP Racing Team has made co-operation proposals to three active yet unsuccessful teams: POS Racing Team, Aki Racing Team and Vauxhall Astra Racing Team. The project proposal recommends to unite forces to try to collectively be more successful next year via several co-operation methods, like sharing the drivetrain, exchanging engineers, and so on.

The manager made a comment on the plan and why it is the way to go forward. "The problem with our team so far was that it was too conservative. We are always trying to be innovative and look into the future. In my view co-operation and shared wisdom is the way to go. If you look at the professional F1 top-level sports, McLaren and Force India co-operate, as do Toro Rosso and Red Bull, and Ferrari and Sauber."

"Not only are we looking to develop the drive-train together, but would like to give our drivers, whoever they are going to be, the opportunity to practice on other teams' simulators. In the end variety makes them more adaptable and this was our problem last year, drivers could hardly improve during the season. We are awaiting confirmation of interest from three teams to our proposal. Considering none of us was particularly successful this year, I believe it is an attractive proposal to strengthen the competitiveness of all of us and move to the front of the field next season."

Team Loco Americano does not however think that foul play was involved. We simply think that with the proper protest we can accumulate funds for further parties. As we have now misplaced one of our transporters this is a critical step in staying at the races. With enough parties we can easily get a drunken truck driver to offer the services to move the cars.

Now there's an idea - let's make FGP a meritocracy just like F1. The higher you finish, the more cash you get to spend on next years team. :cool:
Winner gets an extra 3mil, podium an extra 2mil, and top ten 1 mil on top of their regular 48mil.

Nicely done!

If someone had chosen Vettel, a 3million 2nd driver, some 3rd driver, Marussia, Cosworth (this equals 47. Using 1 mil on a 4mil driver is no better. The bottom four drivers were Pic, Bianchi, vam der Garde, and Chilton) this is how the team would have fared:

every Vettel win would have given the team at least 37 points. If Marussia finished 9th or 10th then the total would go up a little but the team would never score more than 39 points. If we make Canada the bonus GP then this team would score 78 points, good for second in the race.
Overall the team would finish with 724 points, 21st overall.

Well, I went in the opposite direction. Hoping for Vettel wins but using only his equipment (RB chassis & Renault engine) and cheapo drivers.
Using Vettel's car, I came in 2nd overall. Your method of using Vettel only placed 21st.
That proves once and for all, that Vettel wins strictly because of his equipment, not his talent as a driver. :D

Oh - N. Jones, I also tabulated the results for most "last place finishes" for the 2013 FGP. But seeing as you're such a nice guy (you know running the whole FGP show here) I'll refrain from posting the results. :p

I finished in the top ten in 2008!

This is also the second time in five years I finished last overall.

As rumors swirl regarding POSF1's 2014 challenger one report coming out of Charlotte is the team are Not determined its drivers or car for 2014. Earlier reports that POSF1 was moving ahead with drivers who are past race winners and a chassis/engine from a down-in-the-dumps manufacturer have no been squashed. "We have heard a few rumors regarding budget concerns, dissensions in a manufacturers team, and sponsor money which may or may not be there. POSF1 has not settled on anyone yet as the off-season has just begun and real testing/silly seasoning has yet to begin/finish up." This from POSF1 head Nigel Jones Jr. Nigel Snr. was too drunk (or off his meds) to respond and/or say anything printable.

If I take AbuDhabi my double score round, will I get 4x normal points ? ;)

I think Abu shouldn't be an option as a bonus GP.

I don't think everyone will choose UAE as their bonus GP because the past five years show that once a team is in first it is very difficult to over take them. Yes, some teams will over take others lower in the table, but I'd say 70% of teams in FGP don't see a huge jump in the table when their bonus comes up.

I can confirm that VETTEL will be #1 on the driver list and CHILTON will be #22 on the driver list.

Aki's Hedgehog Racing Team has announced a delay in unveiling its 2014 FGP challenger. The delay comes after the cars new style Nose was rejected by the FIA regulations. Due to the new nose looking like Bruce Forsyths Chin.

Haven't seen the prices yet, but I guess based on WDC positions Ricciardo is going to be this year's Pérez. A driver moving up from midfield to a top team and everyone thinking he is a bargain to hire. Pity it went so wrong with Pérez, let's see with Ricciardo! Or is N.Jones going to calculate this year's FGP in a different way and gives potential Webber's price to Ricciardo? :)

It seems that some of the crew of the Loco Americano F1 Team decided that an "intervention" was required to secure their final paychecks. After having our transporters towed from the Interlagos circuit they got concerned about their off season payments. Once they got their payments they realized that the excess alcohol purchases were to support post season "development" in Brasil, and promptly broke in and removed me from the rehab facility.

Having now squandered away much of the preparation time for the new regs this season, we promptly hired a few new engineers to put together a turbo car for the season, get it past all testing, and be ready to meet us at the season opener. Though our 2013 contender didn't fare so well, we have plenty of alcohol sponsors on board for the 2014 season, as well as a long and short list of female hospitality experts to keep the team and sponsors happy.

The rumors that the team principle isn't returning to the US due to warrants are completely untrue. Those claims of unlawful carnal knowledge are just speculation unless someone points me to a Texas law that proves otherwise. For that matter, most of the team wasn't yet sober enough to realize we were in the US, so at worst we should be given a warning.

After undergoing post-season analysis in the team it was discovered that most of the formerly named Jens GP Racing Team personnel barely actually knew, what F1 was. It was a shocking discovery, which largely pinpointed to the reason, why the team performed averagely.

The reason for this was that as the team was created so late before the start of the new season, the manager (Jens) couldn't even find time to make job interviews, so he hired all the needed personnel straight from the streets and went straight into Melbourne with all the people and stuff.

As we know, the ownership of former Jens Gp Racing Team has changed and the interim team principal is about to step down. However, the identity of the newly-formed team with a much-improved quality in personnel will be officially introduced on Feb 14, on Valentine's Day. Stay tuned!

Aki's Hedgehog Racing Team has had to delay the debut of their 2014 team after a problem in securing their required personel.

Thus the teams line up will not be released until Feb 17th.

rjbetty's Team Statement

We announce today that we intend to lodge an entry for the 2014 Fantasy Grand Prix Championship.

We plan a raft of improvements and upgrades for our second season, and will update the team name.

We will reveal our chassis choice in due time, though suffice to say it probably won't be McLaren (unless their price has been much devalued by last year). We want to try a slightly different approach to see how that works.

We would also like to announce that we are open to the possibility of co-operation with some of the other rubbish teams, as suggested by fellow team principal Jens. We have taken the motto"if you can't beat them, join them". Also, any sort of link-up with the series promoter's team could bring extra benefits such as extra finance for parties and suchlike.

Hopefully, this will help us avoid a repeat of our woeful debut season, which from the first race was a long hard slog all year through (through it was great fun)!
