My short selection of today is also online again @ http://www.rallymedia.nl ! :)
Great points today, we went to Halfway. Too bad the second run was in the dark allready, but first run was awesome!

Chris Patterson having some difficulties reading all of Petter's information-filled notes today. In the day review in Finnish MTV3 MAX channel there was Petter's onboard and I immediatly thought that there's something going on because I could clearly hear and see notes lagging behind. Petter then yells to Chris "COME ON!!" and one corner after Petter nearly goes off because Chris is 1,5 corners behind on the notes. Petter then yells something like "where the f*ck are you going?!?" and Chris replies something like "I really don't know!"
Then on Four Ways Crychan stage Petter spins on that junction. Atleast to me, there's some very weird word mix-up/ reading misunderstanding for Chris and he stops the notes for just a fraction of a second but that seems to be enough because when he gets to "double tightens" Petter has already lost it. Maybe it wasn't the reason for the spin, but watching the onboard I got the feeling that something wasn't quite right.
Not blaming it on Chris though, IMHO Petter has waaaay too much stuff in his notes. Seriously, listen to them, they're insane. There's no person who could comprehend that amount of audio-based information while prosessing the amount of visual info what you get while driving...
Do Stobart have no interest in getting good drivers in their cars?
They have no hope wilsonm and now another no hoper?
True.. I seen Chris been very late quite often, calling the note as they are in the turn. He takes too long breaks/starts too late to read on the places with a lot of details. Petter does have a lot of stuff in the notes, but it's not impossible to read them though, Phil did without problem and with great rhythm. But it's strange why they haven't fixed this, as it's quite obvious this has been an issue for some time. Really Petter's responsibility to make them practice and improve this, but who knows if they tried or not..Quote:

Petter 4 secs down at last split
Losing "a bit", yeah... 0,6 behind after fifth split. Its a titanic fight. Look at the other drivers splits!Quote:

With only the 2nd run of Resolfen and two 8 km (rather pathetic) stages, I think this ones for Loeb. 6.7 seconds is too much of a loss on one stage.
Boo! Come on PETTER!!
can't watch it outside Finland it seems.Quote:

Ketomaa stopped
And with that P.Sandell is going for a total 2:nd place in S-WRCQuote:

:( :( Bad start to the day by Petter.
Stage start few mins!
How exciting! :D
Petter too cautious? Where did you get that from? He was 0,6 behind after fifth split. I think he pulled out all the stops, but possibly did a couple of small mistakes in the last part of the stage. Very easy to do that when you`re in a fight like this. But its not settled yet!Quote:

He could not catch Mikkelsen all day yesterday, so was going to "loose"' the SWRC title, so he was in a bad position any way. I am really surprised that Xevi Pons is the SWRC champion, I had him last on my list of favorites, after his bad record in WRCars.
Very nice performance by Loeb....different breed of driver from the others...
Ketomaa can now devote to his family and kids....losing the title with such bad compatition is just to laugh for. He is fast yes but not made for big things....so after kimi, ketomaa we now must find a new rising talent from finland to crown champ of nobodies...any suggestions ?
During this rally Loeb was actually much more down to earth than usually. Making numerous mistakes when under pressure yesterday and most likely winning by a small margin to a "useless driver who should have retired 4 years ago (c) NOT" in a car which is at best same as his.
How long until the last two stages? Few hours?
Did NOT really say that?!?!?!?!Quote:

If Loeb had some more pressure from other drivers he would have done more mistakes.Quote:

Sandell is flying on Margam Park 1!! Beating many of the WRC drivers!!
Go Patrik!!!!! :) :)
Translated to english
Ketomaa:
I attacked today and i managed to low the cap by 7seconds until rolled and forced to retire.
It was game of everything and i had a chance to win this competition and championship. Today the taking of the risk was too much. I brake late in the corner and it was very slippery and car slipped off the road. I was only interested in to win championship, not the silver.
Oh!! My memories on the radio! Thanks Becs! hahaha
Carlos thought he had won going in to Margam in 98Quote:

Also as said before the rally compared to Mikkelsen, Mikkelsen has a bit more experience for British conditions and yeah Mikkelsen truly isnīt a bad driver and didnīt had nothing to lose in here as its kinda just a single championship drive for him to show results. All the points for Mikkelsen to a great drive!
Also in Ketomaaīs case, before the season,it was even unsure will he take part. He missed Sweden and retired in Finland totally! Both events at the S-WRC what would have favoured him. Also example compared to Pons, Pons was able to do all events what favoured him and at events where he was unlucky, there wasnīt much competition so even by supeRally easy points were possible. Congratulations still for Pons to the title as I believe its quite sure now.
What comes to WRC, Loeb has just been better. Wished a win kinda for Petter as he is a privateer and a Citroen would have still won the last event but by times,Loeb has just been better.
Looks like Petter is securing his position, or is Loeb showing his real pace ?
