Don't see Rossetti making the top 10 under any circumstances. Too many Fabs and 207s in capable hands. The Protons are more likely to come good (i.e. finish in the top 10) imvho. I expect the Punto to be uncompetitive or have an accident through overdriving. As there's no Pickem this year let's start a prediction list in this thread . My top 10 as follows
1. Loix, 2. Mikkelsen, 3. Neuville, 4. Kopecky, 5. Bouffier, 6. Wilks, 7. PG, 8. Sandell, 9. Basso, 10. Weijs (if starting, Snijers if not)
Though like last year, attrition could see careful locals get into the top 10. So glad I'm going again this year - let it be dry.
I'm afraid if it's so hot like last year the Proton maybe will have technical problems because of something because of that. The Fabia and 207 are indeed better but not all top drivers are faster than Luca and for sure not in Ypres. Luca is in my oppinion faster than Wilks in Ypres, Wilks only drove 4 stages here last time. Sandell top 10, no way replace him with Tsjoen. Basso was around top 5 in 2009 till he got puncture at Heuvelland final stage. Luca will drive as fast as Basso, on the limit, he'll be very motivated against the IRC competition and the roads fit him. 1st place and 3rd place. Vd Heuvel will be very close to top 10 or maybe in it.
I think Luca Rossetti is one of only three drivers who won Ypres on first attempt in whole history together with Henri Toivonen and Kris Meeke. Right?
So predict si vous plait / danke
PG hasn't beaten Basso on a single clear stage yet so I guess that won't happen on pure speed.Quote:

It's a shame he can't find a little more budget so he could do IRC instead. He could win ERC this year with one hand tied behind his back, even in the "pretty old now" Punto.Quote:
