This was Argentina few weeks ago, and just a fraction of the stuff they take/bring (otherwise to many pictures :D ) ... to put things in perspective ...
Volkswagen will test new drivers in five WRC events (starting Finland) this season. The car used will be Škoda Fabia S2000.

Last week I heard from several sources that Fabia 1.6T development was stopped. Don't know if it's true but You know that there's no smoke without a fire...
It is normal that Volkswagen is taken over the devellopment of the 1.6T, collecting all the data and engines and cars Skoda has collected. But it is also smart to have a 1.6Turbo Fabia, for 2012, for IRC purpose use, because the IRC wil have to switch from 2.0A to 1.6T, and Skoda is the best team to challange in IRC
In the moment I doubt they will do IRC or any other championship...
not even a Skoda 1.6T in privateer hands in IRC?
Is there any insight in the cours that the IRC will folow, will they stick to 2.0A even if all the cars will be outdated?

Nothing wrong with pay drivers, there have always been pay drivers. The ‘problem’ nowadays is that there are so few factory teams/ drivers – that the pay drivers are seeded in the top 10-15, whereas in years gone by it would be in 30 - 40’s.
I just had a great idea and didn't want to make a new thread about it..
I think the power stage of each rally should count separate for each individual class, at least for the FIA official championships, so for example WRC drivers get 3-2-1 points for the first 3 places but also the SWRC guys get 3-2-1 points for their places, PWRC also ects.....That way we see almsot every driver going flat out on that one, not just the big league..
Ain't I the best thing that happened to modern society or what ??

This might be a good move by Otsberg, Henning Solberg did the same before Argentina and now finaly he has a Fiesta WRC capable of recaching the end withouth breaking itself in every way possible. This might put Malcolm in a stressfull mood because costumers may leave leaving Ford boneless for the baby Finns.
Malcolm doesn't care. Every year there will be a few maniacs who'll hire the car 'cos they can not live without that. Like a drug.
