That's what I thought. Looked to me if he stayed on his initial trajectory he may have got away with it, but as soon as he corrected he was onto the mud and no grip. Probably is flat left if on right line and clean tarmac.

and BTW why a R2 cars now in Monte with new RC4B class? Any changing in regulation? All past years it's a simple RC4
Thats how I saw it too, I don't think he was ever going to make it at that speed (maybe on a clean dry road, but its Monte) - though if he'd had a better line with later apex he might have got away with glancing off the face of the wall instead of what looks like catching the end of it.
I guess its a bit academic now whether the mistake was calling it flat in recce or misjudging the corner / losing concentration on the stage, the result is the same.
Greensmith top Ford then.....
Yesterday Tanak was out from podium already from start, because of cancelled SS3. Mentally and also tyrewise.
Today is Another day.
Evans car should not be able to drive any more. Like someone said. Looked like an Heavy impact.
Gutted for Mikkelsen, Evans and Lappi but the win figth (and P3) is still on. Greensmith is doing a great job but with this absurd WRC2 split Bonato may start to get defensive; he’s a relaxed leader on his category.
