Think Evans and Katsuta will be ordered to bring the cars home after that and won't go 100%. Unless Fourmaux pulls something out, Tanak may well be on course for the full 30 points here.

How the Saturday points thing works.
If Ogier will not finish today, will Tänak get 1st place points for Saturday or just Ogier will not get his Saturday points?
Tanak will get 18. Everyone will be bumped up a place
Tanak is looking like the likely winner of this rally, but Neuville is the one counting his blessings. Ogier retired after a simple mistake, Neuville went off twice and survived without any damage
Oh well, from 2nd to 1st and from 4th to 3rd both gains 3 more points and Ogier retirement does not change the situation between Tänak and Neuville.

These Ogier mistakes I dont believe would've happened if he was 100% convinced he was able to win the Title. The concentration and determination just hasn't been the same as if he was full-time.
Maybe he is 100% on it, but now he have proper challenge from many guys behind. Drivers becoming now more competitive, less differences in times and the risk of overpush getting higher and costly mistakes happen. I like it that way, I like that it will go on the wire on the last round, I like it to be more harder. Right now, it's very good for the championship. When Seb ''retired full time'' I was like, oh yeah... He will do that because the guys behind are closing on him and it clearly shows this year how frustrating he is.
I wasnt saying that Ogier is terribly unlucky, It's just that offs usually don't end that well

Say what you wanna say but this new point system is something else...
As a long time WRC follower I couldnt explain it to casual fan so he gets it :D
This whole season Ogier has been over the limit. I remember so many moments from him that he has gotten away with.
Guess his luck is finally running out
Countdown to Seb blaming no gravel crews in that stage in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6........
If he mentions the FIA, he might have to pay that 30k fine!
Btw Why no gravel crews on last stage?
Yeah, though the same. He used to be slower and trying to get as many points as he can while being careful. Now he seems faster than before, but also crashing. Maybe its also because of being part time from the start, not really thinking about whole championship so seriously.

Ogier is getting old but Neuville, Tanak and Evans are also at age when drivers usually start to decline a little. I think fact that this year he need to "catch up" due to missed rallies makes him little more desperate and more error-prone.
It feels Neuville is either simply quite lucky this year and/or he is good at understanding at which stages it makes sense to be more risky and where it's better to just accept less points. I keep my fingers crossed for him and hope this comment will not age like milk.
Two Poles in top 10 overall and 18-years old Hubert Laskowski is 4th in WRC3. I hope to see this guy in rally1 someday.
It is interesting that there is enough slack in the telephone cable to knock the pole down without breaking it.
We can say that there is lack of competition in the WRC, but listed guys have provided us really nice battles. In most cases it is not known in advance who is going to win. If we take them away, let's in 2-5 years perspective - what we have left? Rovanperä. For new guys, such as Pajari, it still takes some cooking before they are ready to think about fighting with Rovanperä.
If you look at our pickems this year, you can see how many times we actually predicted the right winners on all rounds, as much as I don’t like the new point scoring system, there’s no denial it added extra pressure (& competition) to all the crews, making the rally outcome, more unpredictable.
I hope Neuville, Tanak and Evans keep competing for many more years
Nice one, Mares.
WRC2 field - quite surprised that Greensmith has been out of the picture.
Will Tanak get any call?
Mikkelsen fast on splits compared to Adrien
Glory run from Mikkelsen? Seems like it...
