Very disappointing return to WRC action for the M-Sport crews.
Of course no-one expected them to be challenging the top places, but the gap to them is wider than I feared. And being slower than Katsuta is hard to take, even though he has driven well.
Not what they needed after the tough lockdown and loss of income and testing.
I was expecting exactly this. I mean, go look at Rally FInland 2019 results. Of course you could argue they were missing the top driver, but it's obvious that the car wasn't just performing well enough on the high speed sections. And then it was annnounced their new engine upgrade was postponed to Monte Carlo, and they have missed all the testing from this year whereas other teams have been doing multiple days per each driver.Quote:

It is now just a two horse race. Ford/msport is just loads behind. It is often like this with them, start well and fade out a bit untill the next rulechange.
I have to admit, I really miss the fact we don't have a fourth team. Since we had such a long break it kind of made me forget but as much as today was interesting, it is still a bit lacking. Today we got 1min penalty from SS10 TC in - Start area. I took off the radiator blanking inside TC area, which is not allowed. Not more to say, we will drop two positions because of this. I feel really bad about it, but rules are rules. Fully my fault

Only silver lining to this dark cloud is that it wasn’t a perfect rally to start with, would have been cruel to lose the win because of that penalty...
After lying in the middle of the tree for most of the rally, it is probably a bit one-sided to look at it.
