Neuville did look much better than anyone else trough there.
Go Bosse !! :)
Didn't expect that, though Loeb seemed to be driving carefully.
Very good time by Marcus
Loeb looked very slow.
Grönholm > Meeke.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Marcus probably hit a "Neuville" tyres )
Impressive drive on the SSS by Neuville, but also Grönholm and Pietarinen!
Huttunen drove same time than Meeke and Pietarinen.
Tamara Molinaro quicker than Lorenzo Bertelli
Clearly the SS has become a little quicker the more cars drive there, Berglund is normally not as fast as Kristoffersson and certainly not up amongst Rovanperä/Solberg. That makes Pietarinens run so much more impressive.
The Lindholm/Veiby/Bergkvist times also prove it.
Veiby said on twitter he drove in safe mode. Gryazin said he had a really bad feeling on the stage.
Well, then there are WRC cars proving the opposite again. But yeah, it was more about being wreckless that brought you the best time in these rough conditions.
very tight so far in juniors
BTW Sesks no more Opel factory driver?
Really challenging to compare times between first WRC2 cars and cars after WRC.
Neuville did solid run, however today he did benefit from road position. After tomorrow he and Ogier will be quite far from rally leader.
Pietarinen had a great first stage even though started quite early.
FIA should move this rally to northern Sweden to reach a guaranteed winter conditions. This SSS is always close to melting point
did you look at weather forecast? All Sweden (nearly all Scandinavia) have temperature -1..+3. Changing location isn't a solution, they should run rally 2-3 weeks earlier. Several years now weather before Rally Sweden more acceptable for winter rallying than at rally days.
Plus it's not FIA who decides the location of the event within the country.
Ready for Sweden. Mild weather but still nice roads here!

Nope, that's no good, Värmland is rally-Mecca in Sweden, and it has the organization to pull it off. Besides, when are we going to move rally wales to get rid of the disturbing fog? Or move rally Mexico to get rid of altitude-issues that make engines less effective? Or move Monte to get rid of extreme snowshowers now and then? Or move...etc etc etc. Enough with the whining now, tomorrow will be better.
You also have to remember that they use those tires on other stages. Studs and gravel/asphalt don't go together and seconds won could be lost in multiples.

Mooooorning guyyys! the stage sill start in 8 minutes.
Mikkelsen with 2 spares, all the others with one
Both yes and no. However ice and snow in Värmland is no problem. It´s all about timing...
Oohhh. And good morning my friends. An exciting day ahead. Today I´m home some 300K from the rally but early tomorrow morning we leave for Rämmen stage. Now, let´s take on this Friday of stunning Rally Sweden!!
Going to be a very interesting morning I'm sure. Strap yourself in boys and girls!!!
Looks that road condition with some good ice layer, without snow
Neuville +1.2 in spl 1
Ice looking a bit soft. Haven´t checked, was it minus degrees in the area during night?
At least looks like no fresh snow on the road. Maybe it will be good for the first runners? Will we see a new average speed record? Previous is 126 km/h from 2017 by Neuville
looooking so slippery from Otts onboard
