Maybe any local sweden radio cover shake end?
Most of them are just saving their tyres, just cruising trough.
ridiculous this tyre saving this year at shakedowns
They don't need them here

- The maximum quantity of tyres allowed on each rally will be calculated as follows: "X" number ofchanges multiplied by 4 tyres. In addition, 4 tyres will be added for competitors taking part in theShakedown, 4 tyres for WRC cars and 2 for the other cars are added in the overall quantity.
ogier is definitly in cruising mode....slowest so far on his second run
sad for the spectators out there :(
got just info that Tänak isnt doing more fast runs because tyre saving and third time he will be driving with a journalist.
what a joke
They need 24 tyres for rally. If they punctured tyre every section - they need +6. So 30 tyres of 32 allowed. And after puncture it has no difference have fresh or used tyre.
really sad for spectators...seems their made just 1 run pushing and not also all drivers:(
in last years shakedown was beautiful to see also better then stages
They FIA or whatever) haven´t thought of the consequences of that rule. Gives only a way to gain more tyres for the rally, which I presume wasn´t the intention. And as a bonus SD being a joke. Glad I´m not there waisting time.
So lesson identified is that drivers need an extra "free" set of tyres for shakedown.
you are absolutly right, but the team bosses will always count on worst case....what if we have 6 punctures, what if the weather changes, what if we need 4 fresh tires for power stage...it is not logic and it will not happen, but they must be prepaired for any situation...
so the only solution is 1- give 4 extra tires for shakedown BUT take them back after shakedown
2 reduce PET to maximum 1 day per driver before the event
than we will have usefull shakedowns, especially on gravel, but with the existing rules it will be a desaster on gravel rallyes :(
Yes it´s called shakedown for a reason. If not trying your car properly you might loose that extra assessment needed for the 1/10 of a second differ.
And now Citroens are pushing every run. Meeke is fastest now O_o
Shakedown complete for our crews who focused on saving tyres, but a familiar sight as the Fiesta tops the time sheets with @MadsOstberg #WRC https://t.co/nYZ9PcESpC
Anybody see live streams with natural sounds without any commentary?
Looking forward to SSS1 without John :D
Lappi also did recce (and will do it in every round)
News is still that Portugal will be his 1st start with Toyota.
Camilli with a good shakedown. Lets see how the RC2 boys do it when the blinds go down!
Lukyanyk problems with second pass on SD? Spend over 28minutes on stage.

Sensible shakedown, most drivers choosing to not push and save their studs for the rally! https://t.co/0FwSFoSp0F

WRC.com - Ostberg fastest on SD

The Norwegian, driving his OneBet-backed Ford Fiesta WRC for the first time after missing the season-opening Rally Monte-Carlo, went quickest on his third and final run through the 6.86km Skalla special stage close to the Torsby service park.
“I have a lot of experience of snow and I’ll try to take advantage of that,” said Østberg, for whom this is his 11th Sweden start.
“My start position is good as well so if I can use everything to my advantage that’s my only hope. The other guys have more experience than me of the new car.
“Everything is new, the car, the team, everything. It’s crazy to drive this car, just fantastic. The speed we’re able to build between the corners is amazing, especially when you find some grip.
“I’m smiling but trying to hold back a little because it’s easy to do small mistakes. It’s a new way of driving,” added Østberg, whose M-Sport-entered car is run by Adapta Motorsport.
Look at the surface of the stage, not too much snow and ice layer becomes gravelly, visible in later runners. To have one faster run during first pass is OK, no gravel and no harm for tyres. And why they were faster in Monte? They were using snow tyres there. Driving on bit snowy surface in - degrees for couple of km does not make much harm for the tyres. But here is very long Shakedown and you can destroy 4 tyres completely in 4 runs.
