If one was 5 seconds ahead then the penalty would be 6 seconds, if one was two minutes ahead then the penalty is 2min 1 sec.
That is why it varies from event to event and situation to situation.

There is no specified penalty this is the problem and there is no specific term as to what specifies a "cut" it is down to the stewards view on the situation , and to who see's it ....Quote:

Al Rajhi stopped in stage, very unfornute for him, he was leading quite long time in WRC2

Unfortunally a lot of trees, so difficult to follow with helicopter images
Helicopter seems to have lost Atko in there, last part of stage is more open
Both front wings over the wheels were gone in the watersplash for Atko
Atko is safely trough the stage, images are nice but too much trees in there, so difficult to follow the car
