I say somewhere between 1 and 894933673687537654m above sea level. :p
1,459m
Amsterdam is in some ways Europes highest cap city, and that is almost at see level
or if you mean altitude wise, I think it is Madrid at about 620 metres, or something close to that?
ehhh Geneva/Zurich? Whatever the Swiss Miss calls her capital?
Bern :pQuote:

But if you really want to count Andorra as being a proper country and Andorra la Vella as being a city instead of a little village (does it have a cathedral for it's 22000 inhabitants ? :p ) then it's Rollo for the next question
What is a "proper country"?Quote:

It's all relative of course, but for this donkey Catalonia would be more a "proper country" than a bunch of smugglers in a mountain village :sailor: :p
I still say Amsterdam is the highest Capitol city
Perhaps of a country, but Denver can give them a run for their money.Quote:

If so I would say one that has sovereignty of itself, but even then places like Kosovo and even Palestine would confuse the issue, not to mention Taiwan
Or Tibet....Quote:

There are only 2 double landlocked countries ( it was a previous Q about them ), Liechtenstein and Uzbekistan. I'll let you figure out which one is the biggest.
erm.... I would guess, well Liechtenstein has the most letters and is really difficult to spell
But they have the most teeth.
Liechtenstein isn't really considered a proper country though surely... It's barely more than a rock where people go to hide their monies from the taxman
(Or am I getting mixed up with Gibraltar? :p)
Liechtenstein is a sovereign nation. In 1719 it was granted the title of sovereign member state of the Holy Roman Empire. In 1806 when the Holy Roman Empire was dissolved it became totally independent.
And yes you were getting it confused with Gibraltar
Gadjo_dilo has already demonstrated that he knew then answer. Liechtenstein is tiny whist Uzbekistan is much bigger.
I think that gadjo_dilo should post the next question as she effectively answered this one.
Don't let Gadjo hear you say this. ;)Quote:

sort these countries after area size, with the biggest first;
Finland
Germany
Hungary
Poland
Portugal
Romania
Spain
Sweden
United Kingdom
Spain
Germany
Poland
Sweden
Finland
Romania
Portugal
Hungary
UK
?
Germany
Spain
Poland
Romania
Finland
Sweden
Hungary
United Kingdom
Portugal
?
neither of you are correct to 100%.
Germany
Spain
Poland
Romania
Finland
Hungary
Sweden
United Kingdom
Portugal
??
Partially correct results so far is that Spain indeed is the biggest of these countries and Portugal is the smallest.
How about:
Spain
Germany
Poland
Romania
Finland
Hungary
Sweden
United Kingdom
Portugal
Nope, some countries like Sweden and Romania is way off.
I've looked up the answer now. The answer was very surprising! I didn't realise how relatively large and small some countries are. And of course the order by population is totally different
Ok to get this moving again, I will reveal some more correct places.
