Thank you lcd for the latest updates! Very kind! Hehe
The Tv-camera angle looks good I think! Like rbr or some other rally game, looks good!
I think that we can take nice shots from the stages in that replay angle!
Nice visuals, but god that car sounds like cars in rally games from the early 90Žs.
Υoutube affects sounds, just like It hapenned In the demo videos. Final game will probably sound much better ;)
I hope so! I will continue wining and hoping Milestone reads my posts and improves the sound for the final game ;)
Bennizw: Yrs the sound is aweful! It sounds terrible sadly! Like CMR from PS2 the first game.
Milestone can not be happy with this sound result?!? :) They can't be...
One thing I really want to get an answear on from someone who knows is...
The sound is recorded with hightec mic from both inside and outside all the cars, can someone explane to me how the sound can be like this then????
If they recorded with the mic :s like they sad, then they game sound would be realistic like if it was real, right!?! :) I can not understand this???
Or is Milestone pulling our leg untill the realise?!
Because this sound IS NOT recorded from real wrc fiestas and so on... It's almost funny!
God knows what they have done. It is at least not authentic sound recorded from the cars themselves - just compare it to the car sounds of DIRT 3 which frankly are the best sounds that have ever been in a rally game. Shame on them if they are happy with those sounds.....
Maybe they recorded sounds close to the exhaust where it might distort the recording and not away further as a spectator would here on the stage... Or a small distant away From the car in action...
Gigigalli: No they have not! :) because even if it was the case, hhe sound would be much more lifelike then this. This is not sound at all like a real rallycar of any sort.
Lcd maby has an answear? ;)

Well that turned out pretty bad after the recording. It's hard to describe that extra tone they set on the engine - some kind of futuristic whistle. Maybe they f***ed up their recordings? ;)
Exactly! Something hapenned on the way from the recordings to the game...I would blame the game's engine.Quote:

Lcd: you talk about their "game engine". Can you explane to me how the game engine can have a influence on the car sound please?? I'm intrested to understand this because of beeing angry! ;) :)
I am not a developer, but a game's engine Is responsible for almost everything In a game:
performance, graphics, sounds, crowds, particles, lightings, weather e.t.c.
DiRT3 Is a result of the Codemasters’ award-winning EGO Engine Improved version ;)

Well, Milestone better pump up that Spike Engine if they aren't going to continue producing games where cars sound like a bag of cats getting smacked into a brick wall!

Interesting to read their positive comments about the sound.
Really want this game now.. :)
Jojje
Haha. Okey rewiev but have the reporters really heard a new wrc car in real life!?!?!?!
The sound is so good. No it's not! It's really poor, only to compere with the real ones!
But nice reading, we will see but I think this is going to be ok and fun to play I hope! :)
Okay so there is a silly woman talking through most of it, but you do get a good idea of the sound, both inside and out. She really revs the heck out of as well, taking it well past 6000-6500 where the drivers usually change up in competition

Yes and wrc 3 :s Fiesta do NOT sound anything as beautiful as in this video! It's a make up kind of sound in wrc 3.
The only sound in the game that is kind of good and correct is when the cars stand still, but the sound is even there to low.
But Milestone maby didnt show us the final sound product in the demo? I dont know? Because in the review they wrote that the sound was "sooo good" and the reporters can't be so stupid to write that if we hear the same sound??
Too bad that many won't buy this game due to poor sound...I will :p :
I'v allready pre-order the game for a long time ago and is really looking forward to the realise. But it's good to discuss this game like we do and speak about all the things they need to do better next time and even the good stuff!
But the sound is a very big thing for the feeling so it's a shame that the sound is so poor.
I am afraid I will have to agree with pino. It would be unfair, for the sport Itself (WRC) mostly and not for Milestone, If there will be any rally fans won't get the game, just because sounds are not realistic!!! What about the radical Improvement In so many other Issues?
Longer, tight special stages, new/ refreshed special stages, more accurate physics, more rally atmosphere, new
co-driver pacenotes, new detailed high quality graphics and so many other Improvements, many people were
complaining about some months ago? Even the sounds have been Improved, compared to the previous one.
Do you guys prefer more, no WRC game than having a very decent one? (even not 100% perfect?)
IŽll certainly be purchasing the game, but I still think we have to be strict on our demands as hardcore fans towards Milestone to make their games a good as possible.
I'm with Bennizw in this question..
Is anyone able to get a respond to whether the game will support clutch and h-shift gearing? I have even sent Irvin Zonca a PM on Facebook without an answer..
No more reply to me from game director neither :(
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Its already sorted that il be getting it for christmas! :)Quote:

Looks really good! That's fun because I just love the Mini wrc and S2000! :)
Regarding clutch and more, it didnt felt like the game supported that when I look in demo in controller setup???
No, I realized that myself. Considering that most racing games since mid 2000 have had support for clutch and h-shift gearing, I should think Milestone should have thought of that? There are many cars in the game that actually are driven with manual/dog-boxes...
Bennizw: yes I think same as you but I hope that they think of that in WRC 4!!!
New Zealand 6min. stage! It combines all the sections of the shorter stages In a real big one!

Haha lcd, Milestone is on a role!!!!! :D ****, that's soooooop nice!!!! 6min stages, longer then RBR!
Thats cool, that they have both little shorter stages (normal and good lenght) and this big one! :p really like this!!! :) Now I'm pumpt! :p
I am pretty sure we can do that stage much faster than six minutes - not exactly great driving by Alan. Extremely long gear ratioŽs too! ;)
