- Hyundai team is very professional. Manufacturer is south-Korean but since the team is based in Germany then everything is made with German punctuality
Just thinking out loud, but could it be because Tänak and Märtin demanded the contract proposal to include the rumored R5 options? As that was an absolute no-go for Mäkinen, things never progressed to a point where even a draft contract could have been put on the table?Quote:

Nothing will be said if Tanak storms to another title and things go well at Hyundai. But if he doesn't, then again questions will be asked about this move and Tanak & Martin's motives getting tangled up. Consequently, neither Märtin nor Ott had the right to make this R5 news public. Hyundai has decided to disclose it now and that's it.
In the same way, a driver cannot talk about his new contract until the team decides to make it public. It has already become commonplace in the WRC world that nobody talks before the time is right.
