Logic says that P.Solberg should win against those B level drivers with hands in his pockets....as Hirvonen did last year.
I think that it will not be so easy. Expecting some big resistance from hanninen, mikkelsen, kopecky, loix, sarazzin, henning.Quote:

It depends on the weather as well.
Also it would be interesting to see if Proton has improved. He has two good drivers and a new engine. Lets hope for a good result for them.
If conditions stay as they are now (lot of snow) I would not count out PG even with an underpowered car nor Toni G!
But still I think Hanninen as favourite.
If it dries out, I like Bouffier and Sarrazin.
Yeah, hands in his pockets ... after stage end his face was steaming red and wondered how fast the other guys were. In Monte there is always something else than just raw speed and Mr. Consistent did his usual performance. He was not the fastest guy out thereQuote:

I do not call winning 3 of 15 stages "with his hands in his pockets"...Quote:

If it is dry (or at least not icey) then a lot of drivers could come into play.
well thats the beauty of monte and IRC, anyone can win depending on the conditions, well maybe not win but fight for a podium is within reach of at least 10-12 drivers, thats somethig you dont see very often these days.
Of course the favourites are Hanninen, Solberg and Kopecky, but I would love to see Garde fighting, hes always been very very dangerous on monte, remember that podium with the whale.
The car is much more ugly.Quote:

On a french forum says that Bryan Bouffier was testing today and left road for 3 times

That's your taste ;) . Fabia is for me and for many other niciest S2000 Proton also not bad. And DS3 is for me still nice though. And the new Citroen WRC is very nice even :DQuote:

Franck Sias and Jérémi Ancian should run on 2011 spec. 207 R3t(possibly engine, brakes, suspensions from the DS3), would be fantastic if they reach the level of the best Clio R3s customers :D
Those Fabias look great - especially the Mikkelsen one. Great new liveries.
yes it is a WRCQuote:

Any early weather indication? How is the road/weather condition now? Any photos from the stages?
It looks very bad. Probably wet rally without snow :(
Just checked some weather sites and the temp seems to be between 2-10 degrees with sunny skies...Quote:

So, my forecast 5 days ago. First part was quite OK. And it gets a bit colder on Tuesday indeed. But then another warm air comes in. It dominates until 18th of January and then it looks like another "cold wave" attacks Europe from the North and it looks like for the stages the cold should arrive by 19th of January. Just when the rally begins. Currently the maps are showing completely dry weather starting from this Thursday until the rally. That means still minus degrees during the night and plus during the days. So, if there is still snow left on the sides of the roads then it makes night stages with black ice very difficult.Quote:
