I think the cars are almost equal, it's just the drivers (Hanninen better).Quote:

I don't agree. It's only 5th time for Juho on tarmac in his life and 3rd time on dry. Basso is very fast tarmac driver but Punto is now slower than Puegeot and Skoda unfortunately.Quote:

I agree with Mirek, the Punto has been off the pace all year, no matter who has driven it.
Basso won a few events last year on tarmac, and the tarmac drivers in IRC are very fast.
That was Travaglias first time in the Skoda, and anyhow I think Rossetti is quite a lot faster than Travaglia on tarmac.Quote:

Or maybe it is good, so we at least keep one exiting series !
Heh... Travaglia was driving new car for him, without setup and without test. He crashed early on shakedown and started making setup for his car after SS3. They also didn't have enough spare parts and the car was repaired only provisionaly. At the last section he had oil leaking from dampers. That can't be compared in any way.Quote:

Punto is slower, unfortunately it's fact. Almost any rally result in the world is a good proof. One win for Rossetti changes nothing on dozens of other results...
I also agree with RS that Rossetti is faster than Travaglia. Basso and Rossetti defeated Travaglia in almost every rally in last couple of years whey they were starting often with same cars.
Bets are open, who between Loix, Meeke, and even Kopecky will win the rally after the 5 last stages this evening ???? :D :D
Her the OFF from Duval! Realy stuppid.

Apparantly he was on hard tyres and wanted the medium compound, but no excuse. I still don't understand why he didn't go further though, did he get stuck in the ditch for too long or was the car damaged?Quote:

For me Punto and Fabia are similar :P in IRC we had Rossetti at Monte to see real car potential but he crashed in SS1...
Just by curiosity, how do you rate Pug207 compared to Fabia then ?
That's hard to say. My opinion is that Pug has stronger engine but Fabia very good suspension with great Reiger dampers, also traction on gravel. Pug seems to be much harder to me. I think that the more rough and bumpy surface, the better for Fabia and vice versa. But that's realy only my opinion ;)
I think that Abarth has weaker engine even visibly for spectator despite it usualy uses short gearbox unlike Peugeot and Škoda.
I think that the Fabia is much better than the Punto. Kopecky and Hanninen are in front of tarmac's expert, Basso. But 207 is IMO the best S2000 nowadays.
The funny fact is that they (Abarth) develop the car/engine since years while Fabia is new... =)
Kopecky has always been very stroong ontarmac, even in WRC with the Fabia vs. others.
I think the Fabia and 207 are very close, despite the fact they seem to have quite different characters.
But as Mirek says, you can see quite visibly the Punto has a much weaker engine, particularly on low down torque (where I think the Fabia might be better than the 207 even)
SS12 is running :)
Meeke in the LEAD !!!!!! :D :D :D
0.8s ahead of Loix and 19s ahead of Kopecky ;)
Meeke to the lead by 0.8! This should be a great final afternoon battle.
Meeke is showing he has real talent, best driver in IRC so far?
Seems he is going for the title this year but he is the one who would deserve it for sure :)
Fontana and Betti are changing positions almost every stage. :)
I hope there won't be teamorders by Kronos.
Anton Alen once said in an interview that below 7000 rpm there’s not much torque in the Punto. I think at the time of the interview the “old” engine was in use.Quote:

SS13 started.
Fontana lost lot of time. What's happened with him???
SS13 and 14 running now ;)
Loix
Game over!
And it's here, Loix lost almost 2 minutes!
Freddy lost 1'52.5"... :(
Mirek: Can you what happend with Freddy?
Nothing more serious than puncture or small off I hope
flat tyre on Dikkebus stage
Puncture
Aaaah, I'm slow... It's pitty that the battle is over but he will probably return to third soon.
about my previously question, it looks that Corrado Fontana is on the right pace now, maybe he had a puncture on SS13...
