Based on Loebs recent test run times for the bottom and top sections, any ideas on how quickly he'll complete the entire course?
His fastest bottom section time was 3mins 29 seconds and fastest top section time was 3mins 42 seconds......
Did the tyre test cover the entire course over the 2 sections or did they miss a bit out? I'm guessing that must be the case!!
A lot of what I know about pikes peak comes from a friend of mine who lives for the PPIHC at a grassroots level this is his and his wife's blog. As for background on this team, Dave and Allison held the hill record in the time attack class until Rhys's dad rod took it back two years ago. I would contend this husband and wife pair are the fastest on the hill per dollar spent. They don't have the budget like the big teams for the extra testing days, and more than once they have stayed up all night swapping in used engines to make it to practice the next day.http://racekern.com/pikes-peak-2013-before/
apparently as Allison mentions, Rhys is having some tire issues and the road is in need of repair before the race.
This picture from blog is great... Taking a picture with a phone :)Quote:

loeb only took 2 runs and took off another 3 seconds on the bottom section from the last practice day. Absolutely incredible.
