totally agree, the WRC needs the US market. but the FIA incompetent fat boys are afraid they might lose their F1 publicity.Quote:

There is no guarantee that USA can deliver any of that or indeed that the manufacturers will derive any commercial benefit from running there.
Rallying to Americans is a bunch of MX riders Driving around Stadiums and carparks
Moreover US market doesn't grow at all and there's very little hope it will ever do again. Most important car market is now China, India etc. (not only by numbers but especially by growth potential). There is a lot to fight for. In USA not.
i disagree about china and india...they have no motorsport culture yet to accept a sport like rallying.Quote:

The USA has a huge car market, but only for USA made cars and some Japanese cars. European car makers have nothing to look for in the States. And as already mentioned, they do not reconice rally as a real sport, unless Loeb, Latvalla are driving around on a 1 mile track, doing some donuts and jumping. Rally USA would be 50 super special stages in footbal stadiums, like 50 times the race of Champions with a lot of cheerleaders.

Anyone know Araujo's WRC rallies for 2011?

Monte Carlo 2012 is tipped to be both IRC and WRC event.
http://www.maxrally.com/news/entry/m...or_wrc_return/
That would be one of the biggest entrylists ever!!
That would be great, if it would be run more like what it has been in IRC. Maybe with few more stages, but i hope it will take place early in the year so there's a chance for snow. Interesting thing is the promoter part. Eurosport has shown how it should be done in Monte, i hope North One wont screw it. Maybe they could combine their efforts to create even better show... who knows.
IRC would probably get buried by the WRC, that would be worth flying ove to see but! Car 50 could still be an S2000!
It isn`t 1st of april until tomorrow!Quote:

I think this is only wish of WRC. ACM organisers dont have reason to go out of IRC, but WRC needs Monte very much and they are trying to do everything to have Monte back. But should help that 1.6T cars will be allowed next years also in IRC...

Sebastien Loeb has denied any contact with Volkswagen regarding the German firm's much talked about WRC programme.
"No," said Loeb. "I have not spoken to VW about next year. I don't know if I will be driving next year."
I think M.Todt wants it, and even though he is a "quiet guy" (compared to Max) I suspect he is the kind of guy who gets what he wants in the end. My feeling is the DR inspired clover leaf days are numbered, Autosport hints that Rally GB might evolve shall we say.
15 millions.. That's star's sallary.. :)
I'd say you're right. Jean is extremely clever, and has pleasantly surprised me during his tenure as President (though it shouldn't, his Peugeot success proved that). In fact, he's doing so well, that Bernie isn't pleased at all.Quote:

do you honestly think Loeb could resist going to monte carlo?
Flodin aims to drive a S2000 in Italy in may.
Going to italy this week to meet some team
Sicily in late may according to the article, but that should be wrong. Maybe Sardinia in begining of may ? =)

Marcus Gronholm could return and replace Matthew Wilson at Stobart for the rest of the season.
Hard to imagine Loeb moving to another manufacturer this late in his career.

Oh true, the thing about firms advertising in the WRC is that many people in countries outside their market gain exposure. I could never use Stobart services in AustraliaQuote:
