That's a different road, although I dare say the conditions would probably be the same on the Kolyma highway.

It's called the "Road of Bones" as the permafrost made it too difficult to dig graves for those poor souls that died constucting it.

If you ever get the chance watch Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor's "The Long Way Round", get it on DVD so you can fast forward though the repeated and boring bits!
