S2000 summary

RallySport Magazine reports that Darren Windus has entered this month's Round 3 of the Australian Rally Championship in a S2000 Fiesta.

' Leading privateer Britek’s Darren Windus will be out to secure his second podium finish of the season and in an added boost to the team and the fans in the forest, he will be back behind the wheel of the S2000 Fiesta he drove in last year's Championship.

“I’m hoping the Fiesta will bridge the gap to the Toyotas and give us that extra edge over the rest of the field,” said Windus. “My aim is to be on the podium every round for the remainder of the season, and I believe the Fiesta is the car that can help me achieve that.” '

On the entrylist of this coming week-end's Donegal Iternational Rally(UK)I see Niall McShea in a VW POLO "N4"...is it an S2000 ??? :confused:

That would be the first one in UK ;)

May not happen unfortunately as McShea only had part of the budget (rumoured to be drving an Evo9 or Sub instead), though the Rene Georges team are keen to come to Ireland as feel it is ideal to develop Polo further on tarmac.

info is correct, the car is ready, he was missing Budget to drive the event with a Polo S2000... maybe later this year... ;)

Sounds good for later in the year, perhaps Cork? Any chance we might see him in it on Rally Ireland 2009.

I repeat my question I asked in the Ypres rally thread(maybe not the right place it was): does someone know who is the new owner of Kuipers Jr's 207 S2000 :confused:

are there any Pictures / Video of the Skoda S2000 tets in Austria from the last few days ? they are testing ialso today n the Bosch Rally area with Baumslager / Kopecki and Sainz ?........

I don't have any links for you, but where did you hear the news? Great if Sainz has decided to help out.

Baumschlager I guess must be interested in buying some Fabias otherwise I can't think of a good reason to use him as a test driver.
