When the car was first launched, Hyundai said they may make an appearance in 2013 in order to get some experience of actually running a car at the WRC level, but if it happens, then it probably won't be until the end of the season. I'd guess Catalyuna - it's a mix of gravel and tarmac, and it's not incredibly demanding like Wales.

Volkswagen originally planned to do just this; they said they wanted to take part in the Rally Sardegna this year, but ultimately shelved the idea.

They 'shelved the idea' because Ford and Citroen said no - or at least put down unacceptable conditions.

There's no reason why that wouldn't happen again.

VW didn't do it because the other teams felt it was unfair to let them drive without homologation and "outside" the rally.

Probably a lot further on than where VW was 13 months before debut!

VW had longer development program with few months. First "real" test was 5-6 months after they launched it.

It's not unfair for PSA to do the same with all other their cars in lower series...
