I work for a public transport mob! and I can't imagine moving that amount of people! But our trains do run mostly at 98% on time!! ;)Quote:

Unlike that Hamilton guy, Stoner actually won the title! And at the age of 21. I'd say thats a pretty big breakthrough, considering how often he binned it in 2006.
The fact he didn't get it is even more confusing considering Amelie Mauresmo won the award in 2007, seven years after her first grand slam final.
Now as for the World Sportsman of the year...
It seems like a bit of a joke when Rossi, yet alone the now dominant Stoner, never won the award (after only 3 nominations after dominant MotoGP years), when Formula 1 drivers are nominated despite winning championships by only 1 solitary point.
... or in the case of 2007, being nominated despite not actually winning the title, pretty much a sympathy nomination in the grand scheme of things.
Gah!
...
Now of course,
None of this will matter at the end of 2008, when Stoner wins his second title. (Based on that 1.3 second M-award gap amongst everything else)
:p :
Now in other news... when does this season start?? :D
F1 is probably "worth" more than MotoGP!!
The season doesn't start soon enough!!
But according to my Valentino Rossi calendar!! the first race is 9th March at Qatar..
Well, I am off to Macau for the weekend to look after some business. I hope you all enjoy the WSBK round 1, (I never get to see it :bigcry: ), and I hope the forum will kick into overdrive as a result. See you in a couple of days
I'll trade!! You stay here and watch the 1st race and I'll go to Macau :pQuote:

I will be going next year for sure. I managed to get all my business done in one day, so I came straight back home. I don't really enjoy Macau, except for the live girly show at one of the Casinos, though, I only bet $20, (that's my self enforced limit), it's worth it. The main reason I go to Macau is to renew my visa, and to buy foreign foods that I can't get in China.Quote:

Just cruising!! I'd hate to see him FLAT OUT..
No, couldn't get any Bundy :bigcry: I did manage to get Tomato paste, Chedder cheese (Kraft), Cadburys chocolate, chick peas,(for my curries), lentils, olives, capers, seed mustard, butter beans, oregano, thyme and rosemary, so I am happy that I can get stuck into the cooking once again :facelick: I am also going to start growing my own tomatoes, and sun dry them. I can't get dried tomatoes here, so I will do it myself.
Goodness!! You really did go shopping!!
The old Kraft Cheddar!! Love those little sticks!!
But wait!!! NO vegemite!!!!
I bought the 1 kg blocks, (miss my toasted cheese sandwiches). I will go back to Macau in a months time. The wife will go shopping in Zhuhai, while I cross the border for some more food shopping. I will get stuck into making pizza's, pasta and curries.
The tomatoes would have dried in record time here yesterday. It was 40 in the shade!!
I'm hoping that some of that goes down to The Island for next weekend.
It would be good to have a nice fine sunny weekend there..
I wish I could go. I will most likely be back in Oz next year for a spell, I will make sure it coincides with the Motogp, or the SBK races.
Sounds like good organisation!! Will you go to the race at Shanghai in May this year??Quote:

My tomatoes are hopeless and only just starting to ripen so there won't be enough heat in the sun to dry them. :( Are you growing outdoors? I probably need a small glasshouse. My potatoes, carrots, zucchinis and lettuces are good though.Quote:

I am living on the 8th floor, I am lucky to have the rooftop apartment with a large open balcony. It is hot here for 9 months of the year, so growing veges should be no problem. I will have to stake anything I grow, as It can get a little windy up on the top floor. When I get my camera fixed, I will post some photo's.

When I was in primary school our teacher asked us to each bring in a sample from a plant in our family's garden. One kid brought in a few leaves off a dope plant - we had no idea of course, but the teacher sure did. Turns out the old man was growing 'commercial' quantities in the massive chicken sheds on his property - the school called the police, and this kids old man went away for 4 years... oops!
Classic. Bet Christmas Dinner was a bit quiet that year
Just noticed that while the adverts are usually for some kind of motorsport today its "Raised Bed Gardening From Just £16" :D Next it'll be advertising Pringles and cookies ;)
Its amazing what kids will take to school if one doesn't check their school bags!! :eek:Quote:
